Hidden ridge resort is perfectly located, not in the town but a free 5 minute bus journey away from the center or 15 minutes walk. Hot pool and sauna were great, free logs for the fire as often as required. Deers, squirrels & coyotes came out the treeline and past the patio area on a night. Only point to improve might be modernise the decor in the apartments and better lighting as they are quite dark inside. Also the noise from apartment above was loud at 6am when their toddler enjoyed running and jumping backwards and forwards on the floor for half an hour each morning.

We stayed in the cabin underneath and weren't very happy with our stay sadly. The walls are very thin and there was an upstairs flat vacant with guests above us. But because the walls were so thin, we heard every footstep, which was very loud and could not relax and found it hard going to sleep. The noise got that bad, i have to knock on the people who were staying above us. To ask then to be cautious of the noise levels and not allowing their child to run around upstairs. As just a child running, sounded like a stampede. Not a relaxing time staying in the cabin! But really enjoyed the spa facilities!

A nice quiet location. Apartment had good facilities that were clean and well presented. A little dated and tired but no issues at all. Good parking and facilities so a good place to stay whilst visiting Banff

Tired, unloved, poorly maintained property that promised to be so much. Rooms were incredibly dusty, fly screens broken, windows don't open, curtains don't close. This property is a ski chalet that has not been updated in at least 20 years and is showing it. For an Expedia VIP property it is very disappointing.

The location of the hotel is great and we were lucky to have an amazing view of the surrounding area. However the lodge was very dated and needs a refresh. The lodge was also dirty with utensils left un washed in the sink and dust/cobwebs on the curtain rails and corners of the rooms. Staff were really helpful though during our stay

Lovely resort if you are looking to party hard! For the fit and agile, a great location about a 40minute up hill walk out of town with a regular shuttle bus as an alternative. Units are large but are somewhat dated with problematic kitchen, bathroom and electrical fittings. For example. The fridge is old with lots of missing interior shelves and not particularly clean. Fridge door jams against cooker so you need to check it’s closed. Toaster plug falls out of socket. Cooker has a broken ring. Carpets are very stained and dark brown and not clean as is evident when you walk barefoot. Bed broke when I sat on the edge of it. Toilet flush needed fixing. – that said with plenty of room for your friends. If you are organising a location for a big group of friends, a golf trip, a hen do, a works party, a stag do, then this is a GREAT choice. But if you are looking for a quiet, rural retreat to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the mountains then this is not for you. Security is ‘off site’ and is always “15 minutes away”. There are regular disturbances through the night as one house party or another gets going and especially around 3am when groups start arriving back into the resort post night clubs. In the morning grounds staff start work around the property at 7am with very noisy petrol carts. Bottom line: you will find your nights disturbed by the guests and your mornings by the staff

I had high expectations for this resort. Considering the clean asthetics of the surroundings, It was hard to have 'fresh nature' air. As we entered the lodgings, we were greeted with musky, fire and cigarette smell. As we explored more the whole places looked dated and unclean. It looked tidy but Dog hair on the sofa, extractor fan for cooking is full of dust, outside patio screen is broken. The carpeting seemed to have not been washed for years. And worst thing was the shower drain, it didn't drain the water for time. Good 10mins before the next one can go shower. Quite disappointed. 😔

This property is in a great location with fab views of the surrounding area. It is away from the main road and is very family orientated so in the main it is very quiet and peaceful. The complimentary bus pass for the shuttles into town and the surrounding area were excellent and saves on trying to find parking which is quite restrictive in the main town centre. The interiors of the accommodation were quite dated but very clean, warm and comfortable and you're provided with all of the necessary amenities you would need if staying for a longer trip to cook etc. All of the staff were really helpful, friendly and accommodating. The only thing I would say is that the main hot pool is relatively small and was often too busy for us to use which was a shame as this was one of the main draws of staying here. Having said that, I would definitely recommend Hidden Ridge and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

First room was in need of deep clean. However second room was quite nice and bright. There are old and new buildings, the old ones need refresh and carpet cleaning. All in all this hotel is good value for money. Nice quiet location, plenty of parking, away from crowds with added bonus of free bus pass to get to town and enjoy few drinks

Excellent location, comfortable but needs some tlc

Ideally located just a 5 min drive from the town of Banff with stunning views. It also offers free passes for the local bus that stops right in the resort. Parking is freely available although depending on how busy it is, you may not be able to park directly outside your room We had a room with a loft overlooking the forest. It had a small kitchen, reasonable sized bathroom and a small toilet in the loft. The room was clean;spacious but like other reviews is now looking a bit dated and in need of a good renovation. The beds were comfortable and whilst no air conditioning, fans were provided if you need them. Tea and coffee making facilities were there with fresh stocks daily Staff at check in were friendly although room not available till 4 pm but they went through the process so that we only had keys to pick up later. Overall if you are looking for 5* quality then it’s not for you but if you are looking for a comfortable well situated room to explore the region then this is for you

The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and in a great location - we had a minor problem with leaking a radiator - this was dealt with brilliantly by staff who gave us an immediate upgrade and were fantastic throughout. Would definitely recommend this property - nice distance to walk in and out of Banff with the added attraction of a free bus ride if you can't do the walk.....

Honeymoon Stop on Rockies Tour

We were welcomed by friendly staff and front desk and had an easy check in, small bottle of bubbly to say congratulations on our honeymoon! We got to our room which was below another room. It was dark and cold. No matter how many lights or curtains I opened it remained dark. The whole place was old and in need of a renovation to furniture and paintwork. The bathroom ceiling was severely water damaged and the shower very basic. We were awoken on so many occasions of the 2 night stay due to the people upstairs moving and dragging things around (this started around 2a.m). Would not recommend this hotel at all, in fact it ruined our stay in Banff and we couldn't wait to leave.

Beautiful hotel

We upgraded our room to a deluxe suite with our own private hot tub on the balcony. The views were some of the best views I have ever seen, so perfect that my partner proposed! This makes the hotel so special to us now. The room was spacious, it was spread out over two floors with two toilets, a living area, large king size bed and a nice kitchen area. Would definitely come back to stay here if we ever return To Banff. The free bus system that picks you up directly outside is very good and runs all day and late into the night.

Highly recommend

Spacious, clean, free access to local bus service to get to Banff centre. RV site next door we had friends who had come with a trailer so it was convenient to be close together. Good cooking facilities and equipment. Lovely hot tubs and small pool, bbq area was easy to acces. Parking plentiful and outside our room. Staff were very friendly. Would highly recommend. We were 2 adults with a 2 year old. We had a fabulous 4 nights and will definitely go again and recommend to all our friends with or without children.
