It was ok. If u arrive after 9pm they'll give u a code to get your access cards. Bed was too soft for my liking. Very generous with the pop drinks n Toiletries. Hot water was not consistent n the tank was next to the bed. Location was central n good. Happening Degraves St is next to it.

Great location and really helpful front desk staff. Lower floor was next to the aircon's and way too noisy. They moved me to the 5th floor and the other 5 days were perfect. Thank you.

Excellent accommodation in the heart of Melbourne!

Overall a nice place to stay for short getaway. Close to all things to do; lots of small cafes serves excellent coffees. Plenty of shops for your shopping spree. Public transport are close by to get you to all the areas surrounding.

Needs work

Very noisy, not helped by the building works outside. The wi fi didn't work which, on a business trip, was immensely frustrating. The hotel seemed scruffy, but is undergoing renovation. It can't come soon enough, especially for the temperamental lift.

Punthill - Flinders Lane Melbourne

My wife and I are retired. We spent 2 nights here in early December. Hotel location very convenient indeed for city centre facilities, shops, eating, etc. Very comfortable room with good facilities. Overall very satisfied, and would book here again. On the slight downside, our particular room had very little daylight; only one window, which looked out on a blank brick wall only a few metres away. No idea if that's typical or not of other rooms in this hotel. Only other comment is that although INTERNET was available there were limitations. Each room seemed to have facility for you to cable connect your own laptop, if you had one (we did). That, however, seemed to be the only good news; there was only one terminal provided by the hotel itself, and they were charging both for using it and for using your own laptop. We dont understand why this and so many many other hotels all over the world still think it's right to charge people for using the Internet. Why dont they make it free, and just add $5 or something to the nightly room-rate. There are places like coffee shops and indeed some or many hotels where it IS FREE; so why dont they wake up and realise that it's a marketing mistake not to make it free.

Punthill Flinders Lane is an amazing place to stay in Melb CBD, will certainly stay again. It’s so close to everything and the staff were incredibly friendly. The room layout was great, with three separate spaces, giving us our own space from each other. It had everything we needed for six days. My only comment would be that the shower is on the smaller side, tiny actually, but workable, it was ok and it was clean. I did see some reviews that it was noisy, but that wasn’t our experience at all. It was very quiet. It may have been the location of our room, but it was great. We were happy.
