Great hotel in lovely location.

I booked this property on the basis of reviews. We only stayed for two nights but would definitely return for a longer time. Accommodation was great, fabulous pool, friendly staff and nice breakfast each morning. It really did live up to the previous reviews left.

This is my third stay at Pela Mare, there is something unique about the landscape and atmosphere of this place. All staff members are also very friendly and welcoming, from reception to bar and room service. If you are looking to relax and immerse yourself in beautiful views in Crete, don’t look any further.

Beautiful little boutique hotel for my 7 day stay in Crete! Staff very welcoming from the moment I’ve arrived till the moment I checked out to the airport. Everyone welcomed me with a smile and always asking me if I need any help . Shout out to my room service lady Poppy for her recommendations on what to see in Crete and also the front desk people for their attentiveness. 5 star service. I miss Crete so much!

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Location, staff, room and everything else was just perfect. Plenty of parking if you are driving in Crete, staff was super helpful with all of our inquires and pool was just perfect. The hotel was busy but it always seemed quiet at the same time which was great because you were able to properly relax without being over "too crowded". The hotel is easy access to the motorway, located at the top of a hill overlooking Agia Pelagia so the view was just absolutely amazing where ever you turn. Highly recommend this place - you will not regret this!

Everyone around here are extremely friendly and helpful. Especially Sofia, Giorgios and Antonio at the reception were eager to provide you the necessary information about Crete. Housekeeper Poppy is exceptionally wonderful. Maria at the breakfast bar is always happy to help. Only one thing I must mention about the room we had was obstructing the sea view by the breakfast bar. Of course that was compensated by the morning sunrise view from our balcony.

Everything was good except one thing,,,,,,, They don’t provide a shuttle!! If you want to go to the beach or eat you have to pay 10 euros each way! We paid 40 each day. They said you can walk but in my opinion is dangerous beco use the street is borrow and curves. Giorgo is very nice and help with all the questions and tours.

We absolutely loved our 2 night stay at Pela Mare. What a hidden gem. The views from the hotel are stunning and can be enjoyed from your balcony or the pool. The staff were friendly and professional. The breakfast was surprisingly good and included hot options. The cocktails were really excellent! Restaurant food pretty good. The only downside was the immediate area, Agia Pelagia wasn’t a great place with a very small, crowded beach with the restaurants and bars right on top of it. We chose to spend most of our time at the hotel since it was so lovely. We had a family suite which was perfect for us and 2 children (8 and 6). I would definitely recommend staying here and using as a base to travel around or for a short stay.

It was a nice time at Pela mare hotel, the ambience is lovely and quiet for a family relaxation. What is unique about the Property is the aerial view, the wonderful Greek culture and amazing staff. My stay was okay until my check out time and was slammed with an unplanned bill which was based on not passing information correctly. Information should be decimated properly and detailed accordingly because language barrier is imminent. But overall it's not bad for a family stay. The management should look into ways of passing information in order not to put client in a tight situation that can be avoidable. It was a wonderful visit to Pela Agia and Pela mare hotel made it worth the while ....

This is a lovely small hotel with fabulous views of the countryside and sea. We spent a week here and chose a deluxe suite which had a bedroom and a separate living room with a dual aspect balcony directly overlooking the sea. The beach is about 15 minute walk away and the area is very quiet. If you want rest and relaxation this is for you. The hotel is made up of several blocks of apartment type rooms with their own front door. There is a lovely pool and the grounds are well maintained. As in other reviews we found the breakfasts amazing, filled with local produce and home baking. Most other residents had car rentals but we got the local bus into Heraklion which stops outside the hotel four times a day. The staff are really friendly and helpful and left us vases of flowers like jasmine from the grounds which we really appreciated. We had a lovely relaxing break and I definitely recommend this hotel.

We just stayed here a few weeks ago, the day after the worst storms that Crete had seen in 40 years (that were centred over the nearby village). The hotel is lovely, well maintained and clean, with decent facilities for a small hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food in the little restaurant by the pool was very nice and had some good local options. We had bed and breakfast and there were some good options for breakfast, with a bit of variety. We strolled into town most nights for an evening meal and there is a good selection of places on the seafront to choose from - although all those restaurants by the beach have very similar menus, whereas the hotel's menu was a bit different. They were all nice though. It is about half an hour by car driving to Heraklion, and because the weather was not great we also took in a few other sites such as Zeus caves, Spinalonga and Knossos which were about 40m to 1h15m away. Would stay at this hotel again.
