Short walk from Dam Square, close to everything

This hotel is only a short walk from Dam Square and all the attractions the city has to offer. Definitely would recommend this hotel and the destination to pretty much anybody

Close to city centre

Good value for money especially if travelling with budget constraints/short trip. I travelled with 2 friends and comfortable for 1 night and 2 day stay.Basic amenities but clean small room and bathroom. Gets very warm in the room on a very sunny day but a fan was available. Good breakfast varieties. Friendly staff.

Hotel close to attractions

My experience of this hotel was a pleasant one, however one of the rooms occupied had a bad smell of sewage which was quite unpleasant for the occupants there, the rooms in general was comfortable and convenient to the majority of the attractions. the cost of the breakfast I thought was a bit pricing but the local McDonalds 10 mins away offered a really good breakfast selection for a fraction of the price, and within that short walk lots of restaurants serving food throughout the day. This hotel was situated in a fairly good area however the graffiti next to the hotel made the hotel and the area it was based looked run down. The banister on the 1st floor was loose

Excellent location for exploring the city.

Its not exactly luxury but who wants to hang around a hotel room when there is so much to do and see just a short walk from the hotel.I will almost certainly use this hotel again.

Reasonable hotel with poor cleanliness and staff

Got to the hotel early on the Wednesday, was pleased they let us into the room before we should. Got in the room very nice at first sight. On closer inspection blood on pillow casing, curtains and in the cupboard behind the blanket some swear words written in very large marker. Had a shower where the bathroom light turns off all the time. The man on the front desk says hello to every woman that walks past doesn't acknowledge any male guests. Towels were changed every day however no towels were ever taken so ended up with 3 sets of towels. The clothes on my bed were screwed up and put in a cupboard when they came In to change the sheets. Could be a great hotel however small points and staff make it a very average hostel let alone hotel.

Buisness Travel, ideally located

Spent 3 days in Amsterdam, hotel idealy located form Central Amsterdam, 10 min walk the short way or 1hr 40 mins walk around the canals. Room pleasant, beds comfortable, decor a bit tired, but when only a bed you need its ideal

birthday trip

Lovely hotel the beds were so comfy and we had the best 3 nights sleep. Literally you would walk out the hotel then 2 minutes down the road to tram stop and then you were basically 5 minutes from everything in the centre of Amsterdam. Breakfast Buffett in morning was served till 10 and it was lovely. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone who wants a 3 night stay in Amsterdam. I would stay here again and staff were very friendly especially on arrival

Perfect for what we needed

Went with my gf last weekend. Had everything we needed which was a nice room in a good location. Only 15/20 walk to the centre and its a nice one. Hotel staff were really helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again

It does the job!

We only required an overnight stay. Just a few minutes walk from the centre. We had a three bed room with ensuite and it was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and the included breakfast was good.

I was moved to another property due to overbooking

The Falcon hotel was overbooked, though I had prepaid, and I was instantly sent to a different property owned by the same company. The people behind me in line were not sent elsewhere and the attendant at the desk was short with me and unapologetic. I stayed at the Hotel De Looier which I imagine is on par with the Falcon. Though the hotel was in a decent area of town, it was very tired, clean but old and run down. Creaky floors, no air, dark hallways, thin walls. It was fine for a night's stay or two, but I would not recommend it or stay there again.

Good hotel, poor booking system

Double booked me and a friend so made us spend a night in a completely different area. Huge inconvenience especially considering our friends were staying in Falcon. Apart from that decent hotel in a decent area

Very nice budget option for weed smoking tourists

The hotel is a mix of good and bad. The Good: Clean and well furbished. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Okay location (Amsterdam is fairly small anyways). All at a relatively low cost for Amsterdam hotels. The Bad: The internet was a bit slow and occasionally cut out. Not convenient if you prefer internet in your room. Though the internet was free. The hotel seems to cater to English and American tourists who travel to Amsterdam for weed and the Red Light District. When I asked the hotel staff for recommendations of things to do and see, I was told the location of weed and the Red Light District and advised that I could spend my remaining four hours in Amsterdam in a coffee shop getting high. Given that I mainly wanted to see the city, I found this disappointing. Bottom line: I didn't spend my whole trip in the hotel so I found it okay. But probably wouldn't use this hotel again. Only recommended if you are in Amsterdam to get high.

The hotel is a short walk to most tourist attractions. If you don't mind a 20-30 minute walk I would say that you can reach most things, including venues on the other side of the city. I think we took around 25 minutes to walk to the Anne Frank musuem, but couldve been a bit longer. The wifi in the hotel seemed quite unreliable, a weak signal and constant drops at times. Other times it was very suitable, unless you wanted to stream a youtube video or anything else "heavy". But fine for light browsing.
