Relaxing and comfortable stay

The service was excellent and the staff incredibly friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms were comfortable and clean - the hotel was spotless. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Cebu city. Thank you for a lovely, relaxing stay Montebello Villa Hotel!

Montebello Again

It was pleasant, but we thought we had paid for breakfasts which actually cost 900 pesos. The grounds are beautifully kept although the area is a little dodgy.

This is probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in and I make a point of finding a way of staying there for a few days every time I visit the Philippines. Beautiful and comfortable rooms, two fantastic pools, incredible breakfast choice and you don't get ripped off when buying food or drinks. I absolutely love the place and it really is incredibly hard to remember that you are in the centre of the city. Very quiet and relaxing, absolutely no need to venture out of the place - just relax and enjoy.

Excellent service with wonderful staff.

A beautiful hotel which was an oasis in the middle of busy Cebu City. The staff were so attentive and catered for everything with a smile from the moment we checked in, to the time we left. It was a real pleasure to be a guest at the hotel, seeing a smile from everyone even at 5 am was wonderful.

unfortunately the large pool was closed for repair

the large pool was closed for repair and i was only informed of this 3 days before i flew out,the repair work went on till 8 at night with heavy breakers being used right outside the main restaurant,which was loud even at breakfast and evening meal,if i would have been informed in time i would have cancelled and gone another time.even the small pool that was open was effected by the noise. The staff cannot be faulted at all excellent is the only word to describe them and in general the hotel is exceptionally clean and tidy,the food at all meals cant be faulted in any way and i do intend to return there in April next year if no repair work is going on.

My 2nd stay here and an absolute pleasure. the staff were superb we enjoyed a lovely Valentine's dining experience during our stay. Really friendly and very clean. Full praise to all of the staff.

Nice garden hotel in the city. small mall nearby

while I was there they had some building work going on, to be honest I hardly heard it and the sites were well obscured from view. So they only downside from that was that there were some facilities not available. Also I must stay I was surprised to find Expedia were the cheapest for this hotels Premiere rooms so that saved me some money to spend on other things :)

Nice scenery with flowers all around

Upon entering this hotel, I was impressed by the size and workmanship of the hotel. Professional looking staff and beautiful scenery. The lobby was squelching hot, unbearable. I was forced to wait in the lobby for 2.5 hours as checking was 3pm. Check out was at 12:00 for guests, so I found it extremely rude that an early check in wasn't provided. I basic food purchased was at an extortionate price and below standard for the price. At breakfast time we had not choice but to sit at a table in the burning sun as all other seats were taken. Too many empty reserved tables while we suffered. Actually my 2 year old sun had been burnt unnessesarily due to this. I would not recommend this hotel, so many better choices in Cebu.

Not a great experience

I was disappointed with my stay here for three reasons: 1. They had the same song on repeat in the hotel reception area... this may sound a bit picky, but I was early and invited to wait in the seating area and then became aware of the same song over and over again. Felt like some form of middle class torture... 2. The room was over a third smaller than shown on hotels.com site when booking. 3. There were more staff than customers at breakfast but I still had to get out of my seat and go across to them in order to get a refill for my coffee. There are much better hotels in Cebu than this one.

Oh what a shame

I was unable to get a sun lounger most days, a wedding was held on one day on the grass and the music and noise ruined my family's whole day as not only were we able to enjoy somewhere to sit around the pool we had nowhere to sit at all. I found cockroaches in our room and the halllway to our rooms. In all a very disappointing stay at your hotel.

An excellent hotel. Extensive, pleasant and quiet grounds, well appointed rooms, a decent restaurant with a particularly good breakfast, a pleasant relaxed bar, several swimming pools, one with lanes for serious swimmers. The staff were consistently pleasant, friendly and helpful. Will certainly stay again on my next visit.

Spent 4 nights there with my 2 kids and wife and we love the experience. We spent little time during the day at the hotel as we’d be travelling a lot to different restaurants in the city as well as spending most of the two days at the sea-side SM Mall. Try the local menu at the hotel with a choice of “Pork Adobo” or “Chicken Adobo” served with stir-fry “Kangkong”and they also do mean “garlic rice” that compliments it. Two big swimming pools, great for both Adults and kids of all ages. Pool hours stops at 10pm for treatment which is the same for most other hotels. Best part for me was a big play ground for the kids which they enjoyed and its far from the busy traffic road which helps with a good quiet night rest. “We came to Cebu to be surprised with less expectation hence the good experience we had.”

Great Hotel set in quiet and lovely gardens

Fantastic Hotel with very helpful and friendly staff, the room was good and cleaned daily to a good standard, Marvin the bell man was a great character and always helpful to us on our stay, I would recommend this hotel and would definitely use it again, 5 minutes walk to the grocery and the Jeepney's and in a central part of Cebu

Still a little oasis

Although the hotel is as good as ever, a real oasis, and lacks only a gym to make it perfect. The area around Gasaino Mall has changed since my last visit and is now more akin to Korea than the Philippines so take that into account if you intend to venture around the area on foot as I did.

Don't expect a quick taxi service

Fantastic hotel very clean an spacious with nice swimming pool. My only complaint was when leaving the bellboy called a taxi for me (to the airport) but waited 20 minutes to tell me there were no taxis available and I would instead have to heave my luggage to the mall about 10-15 minutes away to get a taxi

My lovely wife Sherry & myselfstayed here for 2 weeks, while visiting family and sight seeing. the hotel is walking distance to stores & restaurants. very close to center of downtown Cebu. We had a secondary wedding vows and beautifully set up dinner with the help of the Hotel. The staff where excellent in every way helping with our needs... When I travel I want the best, I am very pelite when I ask for things,,, and I ask for a lot !! Really the Hotel Staff where Great. We will always stay their when visiting Cebu. The food, breakfast, dinner, lunch--Great... Amenities also great. Very Quite VERY... away from the Nosiy streets. Grades relaxing. A 5 STAR from us and our friends....

Schönes Hotel im klassischen Ambiente. Trotz der Lage mitten in der Stadt eine Oase der Ruhe mit sehr großzügiger Gartenanlage. Großer Swimmingpool 24x12m.
