It was a great place to stay location was great but the view was terrible as we were only on the 3rd floor and had to keep the blinds down as we were so close to the neighbours

Excellent Property & location. The staff were extremely friendly and property in excellent condition. Only let down is a fairly basic small pool area and under equipped gym so if this is your thing a different place might be the go. Apartment and experience were amazing

Being only a year old Opus on Broadbeach was a welcome luxury for our 4 night stay. We’d come up to Broadbeach from Kingscliff after checking into an extremely tired and run down Peppers on Salt 2 bed apartment. So awful, we booked Opus through Expedia (which was half the price as when I rang them up - likely due to the last minute booking). We checked into Opus on a Sunday and the A/H checkin experience at their sister building down the road was easy and pleasant. As soon as we walked into our level 14 2 bedroom ocean view apartment at Opus we were delighted. It felt new, fresh, welcoming and clean. We’re pretty nit picky when it comes to cleanliness and our Opus apartment was on the money. Hopefully it still feels this way in 4 years time. Location was great, close to lots of places to eat, go for a walk or ride. A quick drive to Pacific Fair was perfect. We had both hit and rainy days whilst at Opus but always felt at home. The bike storage cage was awesome as we had 3 bikes with us. Full sized fridge, dishwasher and microwave were all brand new. Would highly recommended and would likely stay here again.

Sewerage smelling room

The hotel looked nice enough but there was a revolting smell in the room that got worse. We were only there for a long weekend and could not get another room due to the hotel being fully booked. Our room was advertised as having secure parking but we were told we had to park in the visitor parks which were full each night so we had to find a park on the street. Reception is only open during certain hours and then there is an after hours service which basically just took messages that were not followed up on. We had no follow up from reception through our stay when we complained about the smell or parking. We asked for air freshener but were told they had none so had to go and buy our own. We had to spray the room with air freshener and leave the doors open if we were in the room to make it bearable. If we went out and then returned after having the doors closed the smell was horrendous. Similar to a really bad sewerage smell. We couldn’t eat in the room due to the smell. This was not cheap accomodation and the lack of service along with the horrendous smell has meant we would not return and not recommend this hotel. I would have preferred a refund at the time so we could find pleasant accomodation elsewhere.
