Great location and close to Metro and attractions

The hotel is in a brilliant location very close to the Metro and buses and walking distance to the Royal Palace and other attractions. The staff are also lovely and very helpful and the room was clean and serviced daily. We were originally given a poor room with no air con and with leaky fridge and bathroom issues in very hot weather. They did offer to repair the issues, but we asked if we could change room instead, and were then offered a lovely refurbished room on one of the upper floors, which although smaller for the 3 of us, was far superior to the lower floor room. Once this hotel refurbishes the other floors and improves the quality, service and range of breakfast items offered at the cafe next door, it will have even better reviews than it has now. Thanks for a lovely stay in beautiful Madrid!

The position of hotel is good and in normal times would be great for a stay in Madrid, but the coronavirus issue completely spoilt it, of course. The hotel staff did all they could to help.

Beautiful views of plaza de Espagna

The hotel was very closed to the Palacio Real and Gran via street. The views from our room were brilliant. The staff were very polite and helpful and the room was very clean.

Pleasant and convenient hotel.

Great location, with most places of interest very close at hand and all within walking distance. The Prada is the furthest away, but even that is only a 20-25 minutes easy walk. The neighbouring building is undergoing major reconstruction, and although this didn't cause any issues with noise, it meant that the entrance wasn't immediately obvious, as it has quite a small frontage. Was a bit confused by some of the photos, which made us assume that the hotel was the large building shown, it isn't, it's actually on the other side of Plaza De Espagna which added to our confusion. We were welcomed nicely and got an unasked for room upgrade which was good. It is fair to say however, as this was a short 3 day trip, we didn't spend much time in the rooms. A couple of pieces of furniture and the carpet in the sitting area showed signs of wear, but were clean and usable and not a turn off. The breakfast was fine, not the greatest we have ever had, but certainly did the job and not bad value either. Good value and great location.

Comfortable hotel in the heart of Madrid life

We can thoroughly recommend this hotel. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. It overlooked the Plaza de Espana, had an excellent café/restaurant next door where the staff were friendly It is located within walking distance of the Palace and Cathedral and the Puerta del Sol, with the Gran Via just round the corner.

Very good stay

A very well located hotel between the busy city centre and the more tranquil Plaza de Espana, it provided a very good stay and met all requirements. The room was of a nice size and the bathroom modern and spacious enough to please. I recommend this hotel.

Very close to Palace and Gran Via

Hotel rooms are comfortable and come with small kitchen area in them which came in very handy. Lovely Plaza de Espana square and metro stop just across the road. Palace is about a 10 minute walk away and Gran Via jut round the corner from hotel.

Room was in bad condition.

The room was dirty and the AC was noisy. The bathroom sink wa clogged. Bad management that they refused to change the room, insisting that these conditions were normal.

Great location

This hotel is in a great spot for sightseeing, less than 10 mins walk to Temple Debod and 15 to the Royal Palace and Almunda Cathedral. Metro stop two mins from hotel. The hotel is slightly tired around the edges but has everything you need in the room and was very clean. Breakfast was served in the cafeteria next door and was normal continental but with scrambled eggs and bacon available on request. All in all a good budget option.
