Overall, we had a brilliant stay here! The apartment had the wow factor when we arrived - bright and light with a great view of the mountain! The property facilities are also good - sauna, steam room, gym, swimming pool and hot tubs! The shuttle service was really great too, so getting in and from Vail worked like dream! The only minor niggles we had were that we were on the frontside of the property so the road noise at night can be a little intrusive (if you are a light sleeper) and also we got to know the maintenance guy pretty well as there were a few issues with lighting and the on-suite bathroom. Would I come back? Yes!

For Fans of the 70s/80s

First, the good stuff. The hotel service is very good: the shuttle to the slopes, the staff, the overnight DVD borrowings, etc. These things make the location very convenient, even though you are quite far from the lifts. Now, the bad stuff: This is clearly an "apart-hotel" where each room is separately owned by a private individual. Which means that the room quality varies tremendously. We stayed in room 1414, for example, which is ideal for those who are nostalgic for the 70s and 80s: the kitchen, the bathrooms, the cookware and the appliances (eg., the clock radio in the bedroom) literally haven't been updated since this time. So, overall an OK experience, but it is about time for the owner to spend some money and bring this room into the new millennium.

Good value

Really enjoyed our stay at Simba Run. It was a bit off from all the amenities but great value and both hotel & public shuttles where frequent. The only negative is the very, very slow internet the few times we managed to get onto it. Traveling over seas data roaming is not an option. For the size and the price the hotel could install a wifi in each condominium, add $10/week and still make a "profit" on the internet. I don't get how internet service can be that bad in the western world 2014.

Perfect Balance of Location and Cost

Fantastic amenities including indoor pool & hot tub as well as outdoor hot tub. Room 2Bed/Bath very comfortable and clean. Excellent shuttle bus service to Vail & Lionshead as well as free service into villages for dinner. Location is still walkable into Lionshead (0.5m), but MUCH better value than staying in village itself. Simba lends itself to skiers that want to be flexible, with the excellent Beaver Creek also only 10mins drive away. Breckenridge, A-Basin, Copper Mountain, all within 45mins. Free Coffee, Free Wifi, Free DVD rental, Free Shuttle. We will be back!!!

Brilliant apartment

The apartment we rented at Simba Run was very comfortable and had every convenience. A home from home. we were very relaxed there. The only flaw might be that although towels were refreshed every day and the beds made. Nothing was done with regard cleaning the bathroom as you would expect at a hotel. but then I am not sure we should expect this service in an apartment rental. Although the hotel is a little remote from the village there was an excellent free bus shuttle which was very regular and even took you to the grocery store. the hotel provided free internet from their own computer free hot drinks and free DVD rental. The staff were friendly and helpful. I thoroughly recommend it.

The condo we stayed in was super nice, nice beds, appliances and sitting areas. The steam room wasn't working, but the outdoor hot tub was great! The transportation bus to the slopes was so convenient as well as the lockers to store ski equipment.

The condo was roomy. More comfortable seating in living area would have been nice. The chairs were worn and not comfortable. Kitchen was overall well stocked except no oven mitts to remove hot items from stove. Overall it was a good stay.

we have reserved an apartment gold. when we arrived the have given a two floor apartment. The were very kind to move us to one level apartment. We are grown up guys with my wife. The shuttle service is excellent. The jacuzzi and pool are a plus. Cons are 1) we stayed two weeks if you want thge apartment to be cleaned they charge you 125 dollars. My opinion is that they should include one cleaning free at the end of the first week. 2) one weekend we have trouble to park our car eventhough it is included in the rate. The parking spots were full. Finally they made us park in the manager spot. overall a good experience.

Nos dieron una unidad que no tenía acceso por elevador, la única forma de accesar era por unas escaleras de servicio, solicitamos el cambio y para hacerlo exigían un pago adicional por la limpieza. Una persona tuvo un accidente durante la estancia y requirió el uso de silla de ruedas y era imposible que la silla llegara a la unidad, no tiene acceso para silla de ruedas, y además se tenían que subir y bajar maletas por las escaleras y no hay quien ayude a hacerlo. Pésima y muy molesta experiencia. Estas unidades no tienen acceso adecuado. Tratamos de hablar con el Manager y nunca lo encontramos.
