Nice place in a pretty rundown area. Disappointing that the remote wouldn’t work so we couldn’t use the lounge tv

A great apartment in a really good location. The area around the Rambler is safe, with a good selection of bars and restaurants and Beale Street is only a 10 minute walk away. The outdoor pool and hot tub is excellent and very much needed after a day walking around all the great things Memphis has to offer. The only downside was they didn’t send us the correct entry code for our door but it was pretty quickly sorted with a phone call. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Great Location, Poor Experience Due to Noise

The place and location are great, and communication with Ramber was excellent. Unfortunately, the guests next door were having a huge party with about 20 people. There was loud music, screaming, singing, and banging until 3 am. The smell of weed came through the door, making my apartment terrible to sleep in. I put up with it all until 1:30 am when I contacted Ramber through the chat function, not expecting a reply. To my surprise, they responded within a few minutes. However, because there is no staff at the hotel, this kind of situation is likely to occur again. The noise finally stopped around 2:30 am, but it significantly affected my stay.

We were stood outside for 20 minutes trying to get in. None of the codes worked. Tech support was bad. She couldn't help. Luckily a employee happened to be staying there so let us in as he left. Not the best experience. The room and facilities were great, but communication and technical need to work

Buyer Beware, Profits over Guest Experience

The Rambler property is physically attractive and well appointed. Although, the Rambler experience is unacceptably poor Their business decision to have no onsite staff, requires the guest to comply with their text and email demands instead of providing hospitality and guest service. More profitable for the owner, more painful for the "guest". The following is one of the emails asking for safety and quiet during my night in Rambler Hades on Feb15th "It is now 3 AM. We have been subject to a false alarm and significant delay turning it off. The noise occurring in the public areas has not been resolved. If anything it has increased. It is impossible to sleep. I earlier requested that you honor your commitment to provide a safe and quiet environment for guests. You have refused." If you decide to "roll the dice" and stay at this property, I hope your e perience is better than mine "

4.5 Stars, Would Return

Overall, staying at The Rambler was a pleasant experience. The (Housekeeping) Staff on-site provide amazing (customer) service. The location was nice, right across from the National Civil Rights Museum, and it suited our needs. The property itself is in decent condition and clean. There were a few minor issues. One, in some of the rooms the shower handle would fall off. Two, the walls can be a bit thin. I could hear everything next door was saying at times. Also, having a treadmill or weights in the basement would be nice. If I was in the area and needed a place to stay, I would have no qualms with staying at The Rambler again.

The Rambler is perfect for a weekend or longer term corporate apt. The remote staff were responsive and helpful. The local staff were also extremely accomodating.

Not Worth It

There is no front desk so it is all digital check in. They send you a link and tell you to use your phone number or confirmation number to fond your reservation. It didn't work and I had to message them. It looks like an abandoned building when you pull up and you enter through a side door into a unapealing hallway. The biggest letdown of the stay is the group of other guests that were staying there seemed to want to use the hallway as their party zone until 3am. This would not have happened in a hotel with staff on site that would be able to handle situations like that when brought to their attention. I notified the hotel through their messaging platform but nothing got done. I would never stay here again.

Cannot go wrong with this place!!

The Rambler is an excellent choice to stay. Close to Beale Street and most tourist attractions in the downtown area. The place was super clean, decor was superb and it had everything you needed to make your stay more enjoyable. Highly recommend it!

Good option in Memphis

Pro: Very comfortable large suites. Neighborhood OK right by the museum of civil rights. Super easy parking. No in person staff but communication by text was easy and fast. Cons: No staff on site and complicated check-in process. No cleaning during the stay.

Beds are hard as a rock, couldn't sleep well due to joint and back pain from the bed. Otherwise very clean interior and cute place. Area felt a little unsafe with no secure parking in such a high crime area.
