Newtown is a very trendy area. The hotel is close to the train station which was great. The rooms were very small but clean enough. Parking was very difficult to find especially at the weekend. Was an ok hotel, don’t set your expectations high and you won’t be disappointed.

I didn’t like that we couldn’t alter the booking when I wanted to reduce it by one night. We left the day before we originally booked because our plans changed and we weren’t able to cancel one night in advance of the holiday. We had to pay for the last night anyway.

The Urban Newtown was a lovely hotel with very helpful staff and the best cleaning crew in the world! The facilities were a bit different from what we expected, as there was nearly no room for our things. Is was a very small hotel room, and we had to move some of the furniture in order to even access the bed. It felt a bit claustrophobic, as if they had stuffed too many items in the room. Other than that, it was a lovely hotel with really cool common areas and an absolutely perfect location! Thank you :)

Very nice hotel

This hotel was very special, but in a good way. We very much liked the interior, service, location and everything worked perfectly during our stay. If only we knew about this hotel before, we would have stayed there longer than just one night. Highly recommended!

A loud and lively locality which I enjoyed. Hotel staff are all excellent and very friendly. Lack of Wifi for 3 days the only drawback, but staff gave me a nice glass of wine by way of empathy! The room was ideal for me, and I enjoyed my stay and would recommend. Newtown is not quiet though.

Great hotel

Lovely hotel and a great area. Work going on to refurb reception so a temp reception on the 1st floor but not a problem. We were upgraded to a king room -not sure if because of the work or just because they were quite but our room was lovely - on the 4th floor, on a corner so we had 7 windows!

Quirky hotel in hub of Newtown,Sydneys alternative suberb.Bustling with eateries from around the world and lots of independent shops.15mins from Sydney Harbour by train. If you like clinical and touristy this is not the place for you.

Very handy location in happening area

Comfortable hotel. Very well located for transport, restaurants etc. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay there again.
