Top-notch stay

This was a last minute stay that was more than I expected. Thoughtful touches like chocolates on the pillows and homemade pastry in the morning. Also, the property manager was very helpful with tips about the area. The cabins were immaculate and everything was new and in top shape. I would highly recommend this stay.

Peaceful Oasis

My husband enjoyed an overnight at Lighthouse Cabins. The cabin was a peaceful oasis in coastal Maine, as was Bass Harbor. Quiet, clean, well equipped , our stay was everything we hoped it would be. We would go back in a heartbeat and recommend Lighthouse cabins to anyone we know.

Wonderful stay on the quiet side of the island. Near grocery stores and restaurants. Not too far from downtown bar harbor but enough distance you don't get the crowd. Wonderful cabin, bigger than pictures show. Laundry room was a great unexpected plus. Water pressure/heat were perfect.

Better than expected. Quaint little cabin. Cleanliness is a 10. Owner has gone above and beyond to think of every little detail. Decor is spot on. Private, quiet, and homey. Close to restaurant and within reasonable walking distance to the lighthouse! Owner was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and will help you if you aren’t sure exactly where you want to go/so. We took some of his advice and it was worth it. Definitely would consider staying here again!

Wonderful place. We stayed a week. It is quiet, clean, has friendly owners, close to the national park, close to tourist sites, but away from the crowds and noise. We will definitely go back.

The location of the property was nice. Not to far away from Bar Harbor or some nice hiking trails. The cabins were very clean and had everything you need and it was very accommodating. The owner of the property was also helpful and nice. Would definitely come back.

Fantastic property and gracious host. So glad we stayed here instead of in the fray of Bar Harbor (and it's still very easy to get to BH). Cabins are new, large, well-appointed and comfy. Great food 5 min walk away in Bass Harbor at Seafood Ketch. Easy access to Acadia Mountain hike. We'll be back, for sure.

Great Little Getaway

What an adorable and quaint little cabin! It has everything you could need and is in the perfect location, close to many nature trails and Acadia National Park. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable, giving great tips on where to go and not go on the island. The common area is a nice touch as well. Will definitely be coming back the next time we are in Maine.

Beautiful Cabin on Mount Desert Island

We wanted for nothing. Anything that you could think of that you needed was available in the cabin when we arrived. I don't think we could have had a more comfortable stay. We were in walking distance of the Light House which was a godsend because there were long lines to get into the parking lot and parking was limited to 15 minutes.

Very fine cabins with excellent hot water and internet. Absolutely spotless and beautifully appointed. Aaron is awesome…..he knows the island inside out and enthusiastically shares his knowledge with guests. Everything from the best places to eat to “secret” places to park in Bar Harbor to amazing sites and activities…..Aaron has you covered with a passion for this area that is infectious. We will definitely be back!

We had a great stay in the Ship Harbor cabin! It was very clean and the bed and bedding was super comfortable! There was a fridge, microwave keurig, kcups and toaster available as well as dishes and utensils. Hot water and shower pressure was amazing for a tiny cabin! Electric fireplace was a sweet touch. It was a little bit of a drive to Bar Harbor, Acadia and Schoodic, but having Seawall and Bass Harbor Lighthouse right down the street for sunrise and sunset was amazing! Area was very quiet and peaceful, lots of deer around. Owners were amazing, very accommodating and friendly. We had a big storm come through one night and we lost power till the next day. Owner made me a hot coffee in his own house using his generator, in a mug with his dog’s face on it! There were small snack items and juices available every morning to take. I would stay here again and recommend it.

The cabin is new with retro-style decor. As we entered, we were pleasantly surprised by how clean it was. It was fully equipped with everything needed for our stay. It’s located in a nice spot. Aaron is knowledgeable, and he provided detailed information about the places to visit in Acadia. The personal touch makes a difference. They serve breakfast with homemade pastries—yum!
