Great stay, but more of a 4-star hotel

Went with my girlfriend to this hotel for 4 nights, and was expecting a truly great 5-star resort. While it was a really wonderful stay, we had a couple small issues with the hotel. Overall, it is has nice facilities, food was excellent, and the service was very good. However, the hotel felt more like a 4-star hotel instead of a 5-star. Small things could have been fixed to make this a much more luxurious experience and the hotel in general needs some updating. For instance, the adults only pool really needs to be re-grouted as it looks like it is aging. The furniture in the rooms are getting a little old, and the gym could definitely use some updating and cleaning. Despite these small things, we would still really recommend this hotel. Be wary of the prices of all the lunch and dinner buffets though - it is much cheaper to eat a la carte at their Beach House restaurant. Definitely recommend going on their two-island excursion.

Lovely hotel and staff, but very isolated

Very very nice hotel, amazing staff and activities. The facilities were great and the beach was quiet and pristine. It is not in Krabi and there is nothing near this hotel though.

A beautiful place

Very very nice place on the beach.Food and the staff is excellent. Nice pool ,Spa and the trips to he islands. Only down side is the room which is bit outdated and the beds are very uncomfortable to sleep and gives a back ache.(Delux room). We could not upgrade the room unfortunately. Despite that I would go back again.

Relaxing family holiday

Great customer service focused hotel and very friendly. Really kids friendly and an amazing kids room for young kids. Great food in the Beach Bar. Superb staff. Great breakfasts. wonderful hotel to relax, unwind and switch off. lots of activities available through the hotel, though the hotel is some distance from other towns.

A gem

My girlfriend a i stayed here for 6 nights and it was nothing short of amazing. Friendliest staff, beautiful scenery and fantastic food. Only drawback would be the beach which isn't ideal for sunbathing due to thousands of sea shells. Thoroughly recommend the organised trip to the emerald cave. A very special experience!! Go.

4 days holiday

We have visited 4N5D for our friends wedding party. We satisfied room and pool, and other facilities. But foods are not so good. This is the only point we could not enjoy at this place. However, if you have vehicles to drive to beach road side restaurant, they are good to enjoy Thai foods.

Good Hotel but too commercial

Loved the hotel, location, staff but everything is way to expensive for the location. I have stayed in several resorts before but no one charged to ride a bicycle. We paid a deposit which was returned after the bike is returned but ONLY in Anantara they charge 100 thb for 1 hr rental and the list goes on. Airport shuttle one way is 1650 which I thought was expensive too for what we are paying for the stay and food. Drinks are 300+ a drink min but the cocktails are not good. Please change your pillows...they are very soft with lumps inside.

We booked a suites with swimming pool. If you want to avoid the crowds then it is suitable for you. The selection of restaurant is limit but ok. You can try Thai boxing or cooking class at extra course.
