Monoblet cottages

What a wonderful spot to relax and unwind. Easily accessible from main routes but nonetheless utterly tranquil. Dark skies at night, wonderful fresh bright mornings and lazy afternoons by the pool. Nick and Jenny are delightful hosts and we won’t hesitate to return.

This is a lovely property surrounded by pleasant gardens and countryside. There is a great swimming pool which has an easy to use cover keeping the water temperature very comfortable. The houe is well equipped and there are plenty of outdoor chairs and loungers. It took us around 7 mins to drive to Anduze, a lovely little town with plenty of bars, shops and a supermarket. Guy, the owner is a very nice man with good English. We would love to return to this house.

Wer die Seele baumeln lassen will, Ruhe, Natur und Abgeschiedenheit liebt und kurvige Bergsträßchen nicht scheut, ist hier genau richtig. Das liebevoll restaurierte Haus bietet Sonnen- und Schattenplätzchen, sei's auf der schönen Terrasse oder auf dem weitläufigen Grundstück. Wanderungen und Radtouren (vom Haus aus bzw. nicht weit davon entfernt) oder auch Ausflüge zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten des Herault und Gard garantieren einen abwechslungsreichen Urlaub. Der Kontakt zu Frau Salièges war herzlich und unkompliziert. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen!

The house and especially the river are fabulous, the river is teeming with wildlife and is wonderful to swim in. The surrounding area is also lovely with lots of places to visit and the sea side is also within easy reach. Would definitely come to stay again. Thank you Steven, Laura

This house is beautiful and Johan was very helpful and accommodating, give us great advice about where to go for some superb river swimming and cliff jumping. Pros The house is beautiful. Clearly a huge effort has been made to make it look so amazing. Each bedroom has air conditioning - a welcome relief from a very hot summer. The eating space near the kitchen is simply lovely. Kitchen well equipped with a massive fridge Seating areas all over the place - indicative of a proper farmhouse conversion. A cranny for everyone. Fantastic boule court with lights so an evening game a joy. The pool is gorgeous (although a bit too warm but that's weather related, it was scorchio) not the normal blue tile and it's salt water which is just gorgeous. Johan was super helpful. We had a couple of issues (unwanted visitor in the kitchen) and it was dealt with swiftly. We weren't too needy but I imagine all issues that came up would be dealt with. Cons The flies! It's a beautiful, stunning farmhouse but that means it's smack bang in the middle of an organic farm, in the peak of summer. I do not exaggerate when I say that in certain places, at certain times, there were swarms. There is a very strict no window open policy which means that the non air conditioned living areas are airless and stuffy which is a real shame. There are fly nets on most of the windows but some of them were broken so unable to open windows. The first day was challenging but you quickly get used to how to operate without letting them in the house. Wasps by the pool. Bizarrely, between 12-4pm the pool area was covered with wasps (obviously their thirsty period) of many number. We got in to the habit of swimming in the morning, going off to do something else for the afternoon and then returning to swim in the evening. However, on the one day we did stay at the pool between those hours, whilst irritating, the wasps were totally non aggressive and we left each other alone and I'm sure, change from year to year, weather dependent. So, my only two gripes with the house were flies and wasps, neither of which are in control by man. We had an amazing holiday and I would definitely return.

Well appointed, comfortable rural cottage with a great outside shaded sitting area. . Peace and quiet amongst nature. Easy access to St Jean du Gard for shops and cafes. A lovely week.

The gite is very pretty and well equipped. It's location is tranquil and in beautiful countryside. We stayed for a week in February and so it was a bit chilly with only one small heater. We enjoyed exploring the area with our 2 dogs. There are great walks nearby. We had a brilliant lunch at Le Cabanon restaurant in Anduze. The best mussels I have ever eaten. Would definitely recommend for people that like the outdoors.
