Calvisson villas

This is an amazing property that is very highly specified and has many lovely touches. The Kitchen has a wonderful selection of equipment to use and we never ran out of utensils or crockery/ glasses. The bedrooms are all very well appointed and have super comfy beds, the shutters make the rooms free from light and enable a good nights sleep. The pool area and outdoor kitchen are stunning providing a fantastic area to enjoy and socialise. We made many happy memories as a family - so precious. We would not hesitate to recommend this stunning home. Thank you so much!

Cathy and Pascal are perfect hosts. Their attention to detail is excellent and they have thought through everything that guests might need. The house is very well equipped and the pool is great. A tranquil setting yet only a 5 minute drive to town centre. A house that is home from home; we did not want to leave!

Gérard and Nicole are wonderful hosts and were very welcoming and very kind to us during our stay. The cottage has all the essentials....from salt and pepper, oil and vinegar, coffee ( senseo pods or filter) kitchen paper and toilet roll. There was also a superb welcome pack in the fridge of drinks and food items including wine from their friends vineyard. Bed sheets and towels are also provided and we also had pool towels which helped us tremendously when travelling from Scotland to Nimes with Ryan air and their restricted baggage allowances. We had the most wonderful rest. We used the pool everyday. It isn't heated but at 23C, beginning to mid september, it was certainly warmer than the sea and the pool and surround got the sun all day which was around 26C to 28C. We also enjoyed to use the hot tub. There are two bistros in the village and a fantastic patisserie Maison Villaret plus a new looking lidl, a butcher, a baker and an intermarche supermarket all around 6 minutes drive from the cottage. From the cottage to Nimes centre to Les Halles parking was around 25 minutes by car. We also found a fantastic shopping centre just south of Nimes on the airport road with Decathlon and Esprit etc, the Centre commercial Carré Sud at 35 minutes by car and we found a lovely Saturday market in Sommières, a beautiful little town on a river about 30 mins drive from the cottage. We really had a super restful holiday, lazing around by the pool in lovely sunshine and being able to have a variety of things to see or visit in around 30 minutes drive. We definitely will return. We had a lovely stay here and the pictures don't do the property justice! Really lovely open plan house with a very private, quiet and spacious garden area with a lovely pool. The pet tortoises were a hit with the kids. It's tucked away in a residential area which is about 30-40mins walk into the Nimes centre. There are buses but we chose to drive and park in the Jean Jarres underground car park and the walk in (only 5 mins drive). Lovely patisserie/ boulangerie a short walk away as well as wine cellar, small super market and rotisserie (book day in advance!) for lazy days at home. The area is rich for activity - the coast is about an hour drive, pont du gard/ provence towns about 30mins depending on where you want to go. We flew into Montpellier which was less than an hour drive and very quick if you go on the toll road (we didnt). Lovely welcome from Mimi and we were also delighted to meet Mathurin and his sister in law during our stay on the occasions where support was required :) Merci encore un fois et bonne chance pour l'avenir!

Everything we had wished for! Christophe was always easily accessible via message or phone. The house was amazing and especially good for our teens who had their own suites!! Bakery, small shop and restaurant all within walking distance. You have to travel further afield for larger towns/villages so a car is essential. Would return in a heartbeat.

The property was exactly as described and provided everything we needed and very clean. Laurent met us on arrival and gave us a bottle of local wine (which was very good!). He also kept us up to date with events in Saussines (the local evening market and wine tasting) and nearby Sommieres which was very much appreciated. We probably spent too much time relaxing in the garden rather than going outing about, but we did find it very easy to get to Nimes (by bus from nearby Sommieres) and had some very enjoyable evenings in Sommieres.
