We had such a lovely stay in the serene hillside house. Stefania was a lovely host (she lives in the house next door) who was very communicative. The large gardens and outdoor shower were magical.
The drive up the lane is steep and narrow but you get used to it. Perfect place if you’re looking to get away from the hustle bustle and relax

We had a lovely, relaxed stay on Lake Orta. Mariagrazia and her agent were very communicative and eased the handover on arrival. The property was spotless and faultless in all respects with ample living space indoors and outdoors, and the kitchen was well stocked... the kayaks and table tennis in the basement were a bonus. We enjoyed swimming in the lake and walking to the local restaurants and bars. Bravo Mariagrazia!

We loved the traditional features of this converted old house . It was comfortable and the kitchen was extremely well equipped with mini oven, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, dishwasher and had everything we needed.
The split level apartment layout was quirky with 1 bedroom and sofa bed in the hallway- this lead out onto the patio. Down a spiral staircase is the kitchen with sofa bed. This lead outside and up some steps to the patio where we had our own table and chairs over looking the pretty garden with beautiful clean pool. We are family with teenagers but the steps may be a problem for less mobile people or young children - also pools in Italy are not fenced.
There is a traditional village grocery store a few minutes walk through the quaint streets of Vacciago and a couple of restaurants about 20 mins walk.
The lovely town of San Giulio on lake Orta is a short drive away where we hired kayaks and paddle boards and ate out.
Ilaria the manager was very friendly and helpful - her English was excellent and she was available for any questions or advice.
We would definitely return.

Our stay at I Faggi was a truly wonderful experience & Patricia's enthusiastic welcome made us feel like long lost friends. She greeted us with many thoughtful gifts which was so generous of her, unexpected and unique.
The accommodation was very tasteful and comfortable and we had everything we could have needed and much more besides. The local supermarket in nearby Gignese might have been small but it is superbly stocked - brilliant!
We especially appreciated the breathtaking views and the tranquility at I Faggi and were extremely reluctant to leave. We will return!
