Very pretty old stone house

Paolo is a very nice host and the house is very pretty. The mountain view is awesome and you can easily walk through the forest to the Restaurante " Il Picco". Very good food and reasonable prices. Great location!!

Great stay in Marcione

We had a great week in marcione. The property was a perfect place for relaxing, swimming and local adventures. In the morning we moved to the pool area where we had all facilities during the day and in the evening we enjoyed driving to Castelnuovo di Gafagnana for dinner, a drink and some italian ice. We could consider staying there again.

Lovely and helpful owner. Lovely and magical place. It says it sleeps 7 on the listing when at maximum it actually sleeps 14!! Also not clear that it is 2 houses , with lots of outdoor dining space, pool and garden - plus games room! More space than expected, magic location and great owners.

Sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Schönes Haus, alles da. Interessante Gegend mit verschiedenen Möglichkeiten für Aktivitäten. Sehr erholsam.

Thank you for your detailed review and warm feedback! We’re so glad you enjoyed the restored Mediterranean character of the house, the sun loungers by the pool, and that Paolo’s hospitality and local tips made your stay special. We appreciate your practical notes regarding the floorboards, neighbourhood setting, and crossing the lane to the pool terrace. Thank you as well for pointing out the condition of the cookware, glasses, and grill—we will certainly review these amenities. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we hope to welcome you back again!

Thank you for sharing your lovely review. We’re so pleased you enjoyed the charm and comfort of the house, and that you found the terraces and pool to be such relaxing spaces during the summer heat. It’s also wonderful to hear that Paolo’s advice helped you explore the Garfagnana, a region we agree is truly special. Best wishes, Lorraine at Tuscan-retreats.

Was möchte man mehr? Ausser ais der einen Woche 2 zu machen

Traumhaftes Urlaub

Härligt boende i norra Toscana

Tolle Gegend, schöne Wanderungen, gutes Essen, eindrucksvolle Ausflüge (u.a.Lucca) Alles sehr zu empfehlen. LG Volker

Typisches Toskanahaus in traumhafter Kulisse

Thank you for your 5 star review. We are glad you found the place to be magical. I am afraid there is little we can do re the rustic original flooring sometimes being noisy, but do please message me via your homeaway account with your further comments re bedding so we can discuss with the owner since at this property bedding is white linen provided by a local laundry company, so should be perfect.
