The host family was amazing, very informative and very nice. Helped with any problems I have had during the stay to the best of their ability! The house itself was beautiful and the photos of the view do NOT do it justice! The view was STUNNING. I didnt want to leave just for the view.

Perfect quiet and relaxing villa. Fully equipped and spotlessly clean. The children enjoyed the pool. The region is beautiful between toscan valleys and mountains. Very good supermarket close by.

Beautiful and very private retreat

We loved this place. It was very spacious with a large garden and a beautiful overlook. Very private too. The friendly owner, Enzo welcomed us, and shows us around.

Nice house with a marvelous view

Overall a great stay here. The location is great with a wonderful view. Not far from Lucca, which was a great city to visit. Good communication with the owner and a house with all the necessary amenities.

Amazing place. Beaufiful location on the hill above Lukka. Great contact with the owner. Very authentic place. House was very comfortable for 9 people. The only small minus was the fact that you have to use the car all the time and the road is bit difficult. But the view is a great reward.

Superb

This is a very loved property. The grounds are beautiful, the house is charming, the pool is refreshing and the views are breathtaking. The owner met us on arrival and at departure and was very kind and did everything to assure we would have a wonderful stay. This was the perfect place for our stay in Lucca and would definitely stay here again! Loved it!

Awesome stay at Casa Dell Aqua : big space, beautiful view, nicely equipped kitchen and near a lot of nice cities. The last 10min of road are very narrow to get up the mountain but it's definitely worth the trip ! Very private, the hosts came for a few checks of the pool and gardening but we never even noticed them.Would totally recommend !

We have never been to Italy. This was our first time. It felt like coming home. What a lovely home we had. The love and care to the peroerty was beautiful to see. Waking up paradise was amazing. The owners were so kind and we felt welcome! We will defnitely be back!

Beautiful Setting

This property has everything you need for a comfortsble stay. Its beautifully placed and a great jumping off spot for exploring Tuscany. The hosts were just lovely and couldn't do enough to help us. I highly recommend it and we will go back. Our delight was sitting on the terraces at night and watching the fire flies. Lots of wildlife to enjoy in and around the gardens and olive grove.

Perfect Tuscan Villa

We loved our stay. It was just how we dreamed of staying in a Tuscan villa. The villa was absolutely beautiful and the views were breathtaking. Our hosts were very helpful and responsive if we had any questions. We were able to drive to Lucca, Florence, Pisa, the train to go to Cinque Terra and explore the local area, The location was fantastic. The countryside is just so beautiful. We would highly recommend the villa as a memorable place to enjoy Tuscany. Thank you again to our hosts for offering your beautiful villa.

Over and above all this property was amazing! The host(s) and their family went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and informed. Although some if the photos for the listing were older (ie new exterior doors and windows) it was very much as described. The pool (which wasn’t due to open until the last days of our trip) was being replaced. I’m certain it will be amazing!The cleanliness of the house was very good, although we did notice a few cobwebs in a corner or two, and they could have done with some newer cooking utensils. The stove, which we had read in a previous review was malfunctioning, did not cause us any trouble. I would definitely recommend staying here again and I hope i get the opportunity to do so someday.

Very Special Villa

The villa was precious and the view was amazing. However, getting there was quite scary! And the amenities were scarce. But the owners were delightful and gave us a bottle of wine and delicious cookies! I don't think I'd stay there again because of the scary drive.

I'm really glad you enjoyed the villa and met Olga and Renzo. They are indeed delightful. I'm not sure what you mean about the scarce amenities though. Tuscan villas are country villas, with typical country amenities. Casa Del'Acqua has a fine good value restauarant only 5 minutes walk, and it is only 15 minutes drive to Lucca. The scary drive? As so much in Tuscany is uphill, it's a typical, Tuscan bendy road, no problem to access the villa. Thanks for the good review and I will pass on your regards to Olga and Renzo.

Beautiful View, Cozy Villa

A clean, comfortable villa with a fantastic view. Enzo, Host, was very helpful in getting our group settled. He even went way out of his way to pick up part of the party from the station in Pisa. We used the very functional kitchen, the beds were comfortable and enjoyed the quaintness of the Villa. Only challenge was the road up the mountain - took some careful getting used to!!

The way to see Tuscany

It was so wonderful to be up in the hills of Tuscany and enjoying the outdoors. The house was so charming and historic We were able to walk up to an excellent restaurant in another historic building. As well, it was so close to Lucca and the train station. My husband has been all over the world and he said it was his best trip he’s ever taken! Thank you for the experience! Sue Mahoney

Beautiful stay

We were a party of 8 and we all enjoyed our holiday. The property is lovely. The pool is small but great for cooling down. The oven is quite old but was ok. We didnt use it that much. The house was great. The area is beautiful. It look us a while to find as we missed the turning for the property on the narrow windy roads but soon got used to these. 1st time hiring a car abroad for my daughter and she coped with them. Lucca was lovely and not too far away. I would definitely recommend. The only negative was the holiday went too quickly.

Tuscany

We loved our villa stay. Beautiful views, lovely pool. We would only wish for air conditioning. They provided fans but it was very hot in the late afternoons and nights. The 4km drive up the mountain was daunting every time, as it is a one lane riad with 2way traffic and lots of blind curves. Be warned! The owners were very helpful and readily available to answer questions, etc. Enzo even took me grocery shopping and gave me helpful hints. We had a fabulous dinner at the restaurant a5 min. walk up the road. Don’t miss Erasmus Restaurant nearby but you must make reservations! Thanks to all who made our stay magical!

The House in the Tuscan Hills

We were a group of 5 sisters who experienced a delightful week staying in Casa Dell’Acqua, a charming home in Lucca, Italy. The home was very comfortable. It exuded all the charm one might imagine when thinking about Tuscany. At night we could see the lights of the city below, a truly beautiful sight. During the day the scent of lavender, mint, herbs and a variety of different plantings filled the air. The drive up the hill was not as scary as we thought it might be. Once we got use to it and followed some of the other drivers’ methods of alerting their presence…beeping the horn prior to rounding the curve, we became very confident with the road. Mr. Enzo was very helpful acquainting us with the property. The walled city of Lucca was easy to get to as well as the markets and other Tuscan sights! We are home now with our photos and memories to remind us that this glorious vacation did in fact happen!

Die Anreise war recht kurvig, aber angekommen erwartete uns ein Haus, oben auf dem Berg gelegen, mit dem schönsten Blick! Die Aussicht ist traumhaft und was gibt es schöneres, als auf der Terrasse zu sitzen, oder im Pool zu entspannen und dabei mit diesem Blick belohnt zu werden…Das Haus ist stilecht gehalten und sehr schön toskanisch eingerichtet. Es ist alles da, was man für einen Aufenthalt mit 8 Personen benötigt. Wir waren bei einer absoluten Hitzewelle dort und da hätten wir uns über eine Klima- Anlage gefreut- das war das einzige, was wir vermisst haben. Zu „normalen“ Zeiten bietet das Haus mit den dicken Mauern wahrscheinlich einen Hitzeschutz. Der Pool bietet eine schöne Erfrischung und wir haben morgens auf dem Pooldeck in der kühlen Morgenluft sogar etwas Sport gemacht . Die Gartenanlage ist wunderschön! Bunte Blumen, Olivenbäume, ganz viel grün… einfach traumhaft!Die Besitzer waren sehr freundlich und haben uns zu Beginn Tipps für Ausflüge mit Kindern gegeben. Diese haben wir beherzigt und konnten schöne Strandtage oder einen Tag am Fluss Lima verbringen. Ausflüge nach Lucca, Pisa, Florenz waren sehr gut möglich. Wir können das Haus absolut weiter empfehlen!

Die Kommunikation vor dem Aufenthalt war super. Immer hilfsbereit und freundlich. Auch vor Ort wurden wir sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit von Enzo betreut. Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön. Die Einrichtung ist ein bisschen veraltet, aber das passt zum Flair. Das Haus liegt oben auf einen Berg, die Aussicht ist mega, der Weg dorthin über eine schmale und kurvenreiche Straße etwas schwieriger, aber ohne größere Probleme machbar.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt!Das Haus ist super gepflegt und bestens ausgestattet. Fantastiskt mysigt hus. Finns dock viss förbättringspotential vad gäller spisens funktion och poolen. I övrigt trivdes vi väldigt bra. Ägaren kom dick o ville fixa med poolen trots att vi var dör, oklart vad han gjorde…
