As described. Met our needs. The water heater did go out, but it was handled professionally and as quickly as possible. Hosts were certainly professional and kind and more than willing to accommodate our needs.
Great place to stay in Millinocket . Very clean and great communication with owners. Would definitely stay there again.

Thank you for staying with us. It's always nice to walk in after check-out to find your home in perfect condition. We would absolutely host your family again.

The place is exactly as described. It is well situated in Millinocket and has all the amenities necessary for a great vacation. It was a rainy summer day. But we felt cozy and dry inside.
We spent a few days relaxing following an AT thru hike. Cute little house in a quiet neighborhood, but within a two minute walk to restaurants and shopping. We can't wait to return and spend more time exploring the area.
This is a very comfortable home in a nice neighborhood. We stayed a couple of nights and it was perfect for our trips to Baxter State Park.
We happened to meet Dawn and she was terrific.
We hope to stay here in the future.
Super friendly and accommodating hosts were an added bonus to this clean and convenient stay in Millinocket. We used this house as our base camp to climb the three 4000 footers in BSP and explore the vast outdoor experiences in this area. Great restaurants and stores close by, would definitely stay here again if my travels bring me here in the future.

Rick, you and your guests were super friendly and communicated well with us which made things go very smooth! You left our house clean and in great shape! We would definitely open our doors to you again!
Much thanks!!
Impeccably clean and well-equipped house. Great spot to walk to downtown restaurants and shops. Quaint small town in the Maine woods. Short drive to Baxter and surrounding recreational sites.

I can not thank you enough for caring for our home! It looked as if no one had even stayed there. We appreciate guests like you. You both are welcome back anytime! Glad you enjoyed your stay!
We enjoyed our stay. Access to the trails was right behind the house. The house had everything you needed. The fridge needs to be replaced as it didn’t keep anything cold. Overall, it was comfortable and convenient.

Thank you for your kind review. That's the first I've heard about the refrigerator, I'll be looking into it. I appreciate the feedback!
This was the perfect place to stay for a couple nights on a hiking trip to Baxter State Park. The house was very clean and well equipped. There was even a convenient spot to charge our electric car. We did not have a chance to meet the owners but did have very helpful and friendly messages from them.

We thank you for staying with us and also for leaving our home spotless! It's what every host dreams of. Your communication was excellent, too! We're so happy you were able to charge your car. Sadly, our schedules interfered with meeting you folks, but hopefully in the future we can host you again!
Be well, Dawn
This was a nice base of operations for our days in Baxter State Park. We were busy and didn't get to meet Dawn, but she communicated well with us before our arrival. Woud return again. Thanks.

The home was perfect for our needs. Very clean, accommodating host.
We were picking up our kids who were finishing up their hike of the Appalachian Trail which they'd been doing for the last six months. There were plenty of beds and plenty of living area to be comfortable for two families that don't know each other terribly well. We also had a few other through hikers visit us while we were there. It was roomy, very clean, and the hosts were very friendly and more than accommodating. We completely enjoyed our stay!

The house was in a quiet part of town. The house was very clean. Condiments (salt, pepper, seasoning were there). Well stocked kitchen. Shampoo, conditioner and soap provided. Hair dryers in both bathrooms. Owner Dawn very responsive and helpful with texts.

We needed a place in Millinocket to visit our son working in Baxter State Park and we prefer to travel with a kitchen if possible. Everything was there down to a big lobster pot offered by the owner when she heard we were planning on having lobsters. The house was clean and cozy with all that we needed to have a great family weekend together. Dawn was wonderful and accommodating. We wish them well, it felt good supporting a small business, especially in times like these 🏡😊

We are glad to hear your stay went well! Despite the blue hair-dyed cloth shower curtain, we still feel that you were a good guest to have. We appreciate you replacing the damaged curtain promptly once the issue was presented to you upon us entering our home. We understand things can happen so we truly appreciate your help with this matter.
Our area is such a beautiful place to visit and your son is lucky to work here! We hope if you ever find yourself in this area in the future we would gladly host you.
Thank you, Dawn
I would highly recommend this property, its location is ideal for access to Baxter State and the white water rafting companies for the Penobscott, while at the same time being very close to downtown Millinocket and having easy access to restaurants, grocery stores, and other amenities that you may need. The house was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with anything that you could possibly need. It was great having access to a gas grill as well. There was a nice fire pit in the backyard as well. The bathrooms were well stocked with a more than ample supply of clean towels. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay this is ideal, we heard literally no noises inside the house except for an owl calling in the backyard one night. It was also rather warm for the Northwoods of Maine and the air conditioning system in the house was fantastic.
The best thing about this property was the owners. We were left in a tough situation when another property canceled on us last minute when we had made reservations months in advance. The property owners were extremely accommodating and went out of their way to help us maintain our travel plans after the other property was canceled. Communication was exemplary as well (I feel like the 5-star rating I gave was inadequate). I received a prompt friendly response to all correspondence. They were exceptionally friendly when I picked up the keys from them. They made it abundantly clear that they were always available to assist with any questions or problems as they lived in the house next door.

We are very happy that we could accommodate you after your previous reservation was canceled. We're pleased to hear that your frustration turned into something good and you were able to enjoy your stay fully! If you find yourself back in the area, please look us up. Our doors will be open for you!
Much thanks,
Dawn, Ryan and Jake Robbins
We needed a place to stay to join a family member as he completed a through-hike of the AT. Our plans required flexibility and Dawn and Ryan were extremely accommodating.! Good communication was key and they were very responsive. The home is conveniently located for walks to downtown for meals , trips to the grocery store for supplies and most importantly for us, travel to Baxter State Park. We recommend their home to those coming to this area!
Directions to the property made it easy to find and there was plenty of room for our 3 vehicles. The house was set up nicely for visiting and sleeping - there were 4 of us and it felt like home. We had everything we needed and everything is spotlessly clean! We were there so three of us could climb Mt Katahdin - what a great place to come ‘home’ to after 12 hours on the trail!

We are so glad to hear you felt at home! If you ever find yourself in the Katahdin Region again, we'd love to have you!
Our BSA troop stayed here for our Katahdin hike. 8 people total and we all had our own bed to sleep on. The owner was quick to respond to questions and everything went smoothly. Thank you so much for your hospitality! The muffins made from have picked local blueberries was a hit.

Early Millinocket home
This is an early (circa 1940's) home. Two baths, one upstairs and one down, two upstairs bedrooms and additional sleeping options downstairs. Direct TV to keep you up to date (we stayed for 2 months) with current events around the world and back home. Very convenient to Millinockets main street and the Scootic Inn Restaurant (2# lobsters). The hosts were always available if needed (and they were not), but they accepted several deliveries for us before we arrived. They did however, not control the weather, second day found the thermometer reading 100 (and there is no climate change?)
