We enjoyed eveything the place had to offer! Our favorite part was the private dock and spacious rooms! Kitchen and rooms had everything we needed for our short reason to escape:)We will definitely be back soon!
I can’t say enough about this house and location. We were able to bring our boat and go fish in the bay all while being less than 10 minutes from the beach. The seclusion is awesome, the house is spacious and has everything you may need. We will definitely be back many many times!
We had a great time while staying in this property! House was clean and worked well for 2 families. The kids loved having a separate spot to hang out. Both bedrooms were large and beds were comfortable.
The property had well kept grounds a private deck in the canal and the seclusion of the lot was great house was clean and everything worked properly. Only thing I would recommend to owners is a fish cleaning station outside somewhere thanks !
We really enjoyed our stay here, very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The house had most everything needed! Wish there was an outdoor hose to clean off with, we didn’t want to track sand inside.

Glad you enjoyed your stay! The seclusion away from the crowd is one of the main reasons we love it here. I hate that you had to fight with the sand. To the left of the driveway (about 30 feet) is where we have a designated well and hose that is only used for boat cleaning and washing the sand off of everything. I'm so sorry you missed it!
The most important thing i loved was that each bedroom had their own bathroom , I love the area because it was in the country , My fiancé loved the fact they had a pond in the backyard so he went fishing . Great location and communication was excellent. Will definitely book again
House was great. Lots of room. Very clean and well maintained. Quiet neighborhood. Lots privacy. Short drive to the beach/Mexico beach boat ramp. There is another boat ramp right by the house that
Short drive to beach for sunrise and fishing about 10 o'clock back to house in and out house to dock eats and drinks till 4 o'clock back to beach till sunset 🌇 house had everything we needed 👍 thanks for sharing your home only one problem should have stayed for 2 weeks
Reason to Escape is a great property. Had more than a few concerns when first going to the house (turn down a dirt road between some campers with misc. boats sitting around). However, we met one of the neighbors and no longer had concerns.
The house has a well stocked kitchen. Great selection of pots, pans, utensils, and dishes.
The house has two bedrooms and each has its own bathroom. The addition to the house is where the additional beds are located and this area also has a bathroom. There is a door that can close off this area.
We loved how roomy this house is. The only things we did not love were:
The AC struggled. It was Upper 90's and we set it at 75. It would definitely heat up in the day and took a while to cool down - all doors and curtains were closed.
The refridgerator was not working properly. It took over 24 hours to freeze 16 oz water bottles. After 24 hours, the water bottles in the fridge were barely chilled. Definitely not cold. (We did not overstuff the fridge with "hot" items. Everything except the pack of water was cold and it was room temp).
We ended up loosing some food (Milk and lunch meat) because the fridge was not cold enough.
Contacted owner and they suggested making sure it was pulled out from the wall to get airflow. That did help a little, but still it did not cool down to the proper temp. (We checked it with a high quality infared thermometer).
My advice - Take a Cooler and use it.

There was no need for concerns of the area if you read my entire listing before booking. I plainly state that the area is still recovering from a hurricane and campers are now where houses once stood. Just the affects of natural disasters. I also state that we are secluded and private at the end of the road. Larger parties than yours stayed before and after you (we have also stayed) and there are no issues with the A/C or fridge. It has been in the triple digits here for weeks and the house is maintaining a cool temperature as to whatever is set. The fridge and freezer have been packed full with everything freezing perfectly and no food ever spoiling. The pictures you sent to me were showing the door wide open as you continually took a temp reading. I imagine it is hard for a fridge to stay cool when the door is constantly being opened. Also the pictures revealed ice still frozen and more than one gallon jug of water in the freezer. The freezer is not an instant freeze. Not sure I know of any freezer that does so.
Location was amazing. Only 6 miles from beach and restaurants. Not all of our group enjoys the beach equally. Half of the group stayed at the property and fished, and the other half went to the beach.
Our family loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom, so we did not have multiple people waiting on shower. Out of 3 couples we gave the property 6 thumbs up!
Nice quiet location. Quick and easy drive to the beach, but off the beach enough to be able to sit on the porch and relax and enjoy a nice afternoon storm. House is very spacious with everything you will need.
Property was everything as advertised. We had a great time. Short drive to the beach and the fishing dock was excellent! Can’t wait to come back next year.
The house is very clean and spacious! Secluded and quiet. The beach is only 5 minutes away! If you plan to fish definitely bring your boat, house has dock and boat ramp is near house (sadly we were unable to bring our boat). We did wish the house had an ice maker.

Overall the was was good. Although the grass was almost 2 foot tall. Be prepared to smell rotten eggs when showering or using any water. The property is secluded behind some other ran down properties.

As far as the grass being tall, it has been a very wet summer and it has been difficult to keep up. The rotten egg smell is sulfur and can be smelled at most homes in Florida. Once again it has been a wet summer and the high rain fall causes the smell to be a bit worse.
To address your "ran down properties" comment. It is important for your to remember (in case you could not tell from the destruction in the area) that this community was directly hit by Category 5 Hurricane Michael in 2018. These "ran down" properties are homeowners who lost almost everything and are working diligently to rebuild their lives and homes. Many are fighting insurance companies and others did not even have insurance. We ourselves almost lost our home and have been fortunate to rebuild quicker than others. I do not mind honest reviews, but feel like it is important for you to show a little compassion when you wish to discuss my neighbors. These people are survivors.
I hope should you ever revisit our area again that you choose a property that meets ALL of your expectations.

We love to watch the boats go by! It is the most peaceful and quiet view.

Our property is 3 private acres where you can truly escape the cares of life for a while. Close enough to the beach and nightlife, but secluded enough to escape the crowds and just enjoy nature. Best of both worlds!
