You can't beat the location which is three blocks from the beach, restaurants, shops, galleries and a grocery store, all in walking distance. Charming Laguna property

Loved this rental!!!!! Super charming, very clean, safe and in the perfect location to walk to, restaurants, the beach, farmers market, Sawdust festival and the village. The owners were very easy to work with and very accommodating!

Beautiful Beach Cottage

This cottage was even lovelier in reality than the online pictures. All appliances, floors, kitchen, bath and decorations were updated to the finest. I loved my stay!

Incredibly wonderful.

Our stay could not have been more pleasant. This cottage is both aesthetically pleasing and very functional with a terrific backyard. The location is second to none, making it easy to walk either through the hip district or into downtown Laguna Beach. Our communications with the owner we’re promptly responded to, and the conversations were always pleasant. We simply can’t imagine a better place to stay in Laguna for two people, we hope to be back, sooner rather than later. If youare looking for a place to stay in Laguna, I cannot recommend this place more.

Perfect Cottage for a Taste of Laguna life

This cottage is the perfect place to stay in Laguna Beach. The place is immaculate and functional. The cottage maybe small, but the vaulted ceilings and numerous windows and French doors make it seem so much larger. The place is tastefully furnished and very clean. The outdoor space is lush and inviting. I probably spent more time in the backyard than the beach...which is a close 5 minute walk. Everything is a close walk away. The grocery store is around the corner and downtown Laguna is a 15 minute walk. My husband and I took advantage of the free Trolley that runs through the summer months. We were able to explore so many beautiful beaches without worrying about parking. The house is a few blocks to Thalia beach where waves and sunsets are easy to catch. The owners were great and responsive... I locked myself out one day and she had someone come help me immediately. I will miss the month spent at this special home. It really is such a charming cottage and we hope to return one day again. Thank you for everything!!

Magical!

What a perfect month, in a perfect house! We loved everything about it. Upon arrival, the house was spotless and very welcoming. It had all the amenities we needed (and some we didn't know we needed!) but was a very quick walk to the grocery store for food and such. We spent many mornings having our coffee on the front patio, watching the neighbors take their morning walks or having a glass of wine in the evening, as the sun was setting. The backyard had everything we needed and though we didn't sit back there as much as the front patio, we did enjoy playing cards on the large patio table and sitting by the fire a few nights. And the garden!!! Oh my, everyday I felt like I found a type of plant that I hadn't seen the day before. And I loved that a lot of them were labeled. The inside of the house fit our needs perfectly. While the kitchen was tiny, it had all that we needed and I found it easy to cook meals in - though we did eat out most of the time. The living room was comfortable and once we figured out how to work the remote (wait - maybe we should have read the instructions first!), we spent evenings that we were home, watching TV. The bedroom was just the right size for us, with plenty of closet space and hangers and the bathroom was beautiful, with an awesome shower - loved that there was a bench!. Drenda and Rick were quick to answer any questions and were very good hosts. The walk to the beach was very quick, (the walk back took a bit longer as it is mostly uphill) and we spent a ton of time there. There are many great restaurants and bars and LOTS of live music, all within walking distance from the house. We brought our car but actually only used it twice the entire month. All in all, it was great place to stay and we loved getting to be "locals" for our time there and if it wasn't for missing our grandkids, we would have stayed longer. We will definitely be back!!! PS Short note - my husband still works remotely Monday-Friday and found the garage a perfect place to set up office. It is a much nicer space than just a garage!

Lagunas best kept accommodation secret...

... until I share this review. Whilst I don't want this place to become to booked out so I can't go :-) this cottage hands down deserved a 5* rating. The cottage exceeded our expectations and we felt it was even nicer than the photos online. We loved the well maintained large private garden equipped with sofas, bbq and the most gorgeous flowers. And the location was fantastic, a few mins walk to the beach and 10-15mins walk into downtown. Couldn't ask for anything more, thanks Drenda and Rick!!! We hope to be back soon!

Happiness in Laguna 💕

It's a perfect house for a couple. We enjoy the beach and walking and good restaurants. Laguna has it all. You never have to get in your car. You can walk everywhere. The yard is perfect for relaxing with friends or family.

Charming Cottage Near Beach

The cottage is perfect for two people. We had a wonderful time and would love to do it again next year. We walk to town or the beach every day discovering interesting shops and restaurants along the way. The sunsets were amazing and we made sure we check our watch as to never missed one. The description in Home Away was exactly as we found the cottage when we arrived. The property is beautiful, clean ,roomy and well maintained. The owners were very accommodating and sent anything we needed immediately. I would highly recommend the cottage to any one the wants a taste of the Laguna life. Diane and Steve

Home at first glance

This little cottage on Thalia became our home for most of the summer. We felt at home as soon as we opened the gate to the little white picket fence. The yard is lush with different flowers blooming constantly and actual green grass. The house itself is small but so adorable and homey. We loved it! Drenda and Rick were only a text away if we ever needed anything. It was a very smooth stay so we didn't need much. This little cottage will always have a special place in our hearts.

We enjoy several walks a day and love not driving to get where we need to be. We hope that those who stay in our cottage can be touched by sea as we are.

Why they chose this property

We have been looking for homes and visiting Laguna for many years. We are from Chicago, Illinois. The temperatures near the beach are truly an amazing break from midwestern weather. The cottage built in 1941 has the character and charm that we were looking for. The home was just listed the day that we put in an offer. We never thought that we would live so close to the beach.
