Welcome to your luxurious beach getaway in prime South Mission Beach—just two houses from the ocean without the premium beachfront price. Enjoy all the benefits of being this close to the sand, surf, and sunset views—without the crowds right outside your door.

This modern, designer-finished beach house was completed in late 2016 and is fully equipped for a relaxing and elevated vacation experience. The open-concept living and dining area features a plush chaise lounge sectional, large smart TV, quartz countertops, and a chef’s kitchen with stainless steel appliances—perfect for cooking or relaxing.

Step outside to the spacious private patio with ocean views, a BBQ grill, and ample seating—ideal for sunset dinners or morning coffee.

The primary bedroom, located on the main level, offers a large flat-screen TV, a spa-inspired bathroom, and easy access to all living spaces—great for guests who prefer to avoid stairs.

On the second floor, you'll find a full-sized washer and dryer for convenience. Beach days are a breeze with provided beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, and an outdoor shower to rinse off after the fun. Note: There are additional rooms up the stairs on the second floor. These remain locked when this unit is rented as a 1 bedroom. This unit can be rented as a 3 bedroom/2 bath unit for 5 guests. Search for property #963090

Parking: One reserved space for a mid-sized car only (72” max width). Larger SUVs and trucks will not fit—please check photos before arrival and cross check your vehicle or rental car via a Google search. There is a free overnight lot and street parking available on a first come first serve basis. Please observe all street sweeping signs when parking on the street & reach out to us for tips on busy weekends.

We do have one doorbell camera on premise outside the front door that only faces the fence.

This is a duplex. The second unit is the owner's second home and may or may not be occupied at any time. This is a completely separate unit with its own facilities and does not share any space with the rental unit.

Wonderful property in a great location

This property was amazing. Like new with great everything you need to feel at home for two weeks. Furniture, appliances, dishes, bedding, towels, beach towels, beach chairs. It all made it so easy to feel at home. That is on top of a great location that was close to the beach and bay side. Food and drink also within walking distance. Yet, it was nice a quite at night. Great property!

The property is beautiful and just a few steps to the beach. Very quiet. The only downside was the host tried to "upsale" the balcony on the second floor, which we declined and the house rules asked that we "do the laundry". This was not in our contract, nor stated in the listing. Since we paid a cleaning fee we didn't feel this was appropriate, so we didn't.

Finding location was a challenge, but once found, it was fine, Parking very tight, but rented a very small car so it did fit. Bed comfortable, very short walk to beach, nice little patio out front. Kitchen clean and modern. Floors dirty, bring slippers. Freezer needed cleaning as well.

Fantastic Stay

We have been to San Diego 4 times now and this was by far our best VRBO experience. Communication with the property owner was fantastic, the house was clean and ready for us, and the location was simply awesome. It's about a 50 yard walk to the boardwalk where you can walk to restaurants and to the beach. We did not even need our car once we were here. I have saved this listing and if we come back to San Diego we will definitely be looking here.

Absolutely beautiful!

New and and totally up to date property that is managed with pride by the owner. Ginnie is easy to get ahold of when needed and is a gracious host. The place is just steps from the beach, takeout restaurants serving Mexican and Italian fare as well as breakfast, a couple of bars frequented by locals and small beach markets. It is a short walk to Belmont Park and the restaurants of Mission Beach. We loved our stay there.

Beach Getaway

My wife and I stayed here while in San Diego for our mini-moon. The house comes exactly as advertised and was clean, comfortable, and had everything we could want or need. The location was perfect being only steps away from the beach where we could go relax in the beach chairs provided by the host. Ginny was easy to reach and communicate with and a superb host. I would highly recommend this rental for any couple looking to spend some time in San Diego.
