An enchanted and authentic place as a jumping off point for exploring County Kerry. Breakfast in the kitchen, day trips to places of wonder, and evenings in the pub recounting the day. Family of 9 fit comfortably in Jack Duggan’s.

Unique place well suited for larger groups, comfortable sleeping arrangements and plenty of space for visiting. Enjoyed our visit
My family really enjoyed our stay! The pub was a great place to hangout and the upstairs was very comfortable. The location was perfect with a bar and restaurant close by.

We had a great stay, location excellent but a bit noisy on the road , thanks
This was well worth the fee and we'd stay here again; while I wish there were fans upstairs because we were there during an unusual warm period (over 24 degrees so upstairs was stuffy) the place itself was so completely charming. I do wish there had been darts or more to do in the pub and that the keg experience wasn't so expensive but having the bar glasses was fun and we certainly enjoyed our stay ... cooking a full meal in the kitchen and plenty of bedrooms and place to spread out for our group of six.
Off the beaten path a bit but such a fun place to stay especially for a large group. We loved having our own bar but the pub across the street is awesome too. Everyone in the village was so nice and friendly and the food at the corner store was so good too. One of the highlights of our Ireland trip was spending time in Castlemaine. Easily and comfortably accommodated 8 of us. Had an issue figuring out how to turn on hot water but nothing life changing. Good WiFi downstairs. Nice kitchen. Washer/ dryer/ hairdryer all nice additions. Highly recommend getting off the beaten path and staying at Jack Duggans.
This was a fun place to stay, with our own neighborhood pub atmosphere but still plenty of room for us 9 adults and an infant. Everything worked well and the restaurant Griffins and convenient store Helena's were VERY friendly, helpful and accommodating. We loved our stay!
This is a great place to stay for families and groups.
We loved staying at the Pub. The pool table was great and they had lots of games. It is a small town- one restaurant (it was not serving food), two bars and a gas station/grocery store. You have to be prepared to drive to Killarney or other towns for meals and sites.
We had a fantastic time staying 5 nights at Jack Duggans Bar House. It’s a perfect location. We loved Inch Beach and the local restaurant Griffins, Killarney National Park and Dingle. The 20 something’s loved having their own bar & Keg. Wonderful time. Host was super.
Came to Castlemaine with family members of six, and had family from Abbeyfeale come down for some games and picture album viewing.
It was the perfect location with lots of room for us to have a great time full of laughter and craic.
Our stay in Jack Duggan's pub was so fun and comfortable for everyone! We wanted a small town experience close to adventures in Kilarney and Dingle, this place was the perfect solution. The convenience store just a block away was great for snacks, beer, and other conveniences. We had a great time connecting with local folks and the wonderful bartender at Griffen's pub, just down the street. The accommodations were clean, with plently of beds and 3 bathrooms. I highly recommend Jack Duggan's for an authentic Irish experience!

Located in a sleepy, quite town about 13 miles from Killarney National Park, my family and I enjoyed the amenities of the pub while lounging and recharging our batteries before moving onto the next phase of our holiday.
Easy, scenic drive to park allowed us to stay out of the traffic and congestion surrounding Killarney. Would book again especially if we travel with another family as the property was roomy and comfortable.
Wonderful stay at a really cool and traditional pub.
Fantastic, stress free and everything was quick and easy. From the deliveries to advice and travel, it was a fantastic trip and wonderful accommodation. We will be back!!!
The property was exactly as described and perfect for our groups stay. It is convenient to Dingle peninsula and Ring of Kerry - the extra bonus was a separate dryer from the washing machine which was not common in other rentals! It was clean and plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Would definitely come back!
