We loved this property! With all the bedrooms it was an easy fit for our whole group! The tv/game room downstairs was fun to just staying in at night & making dinner. We even grilled out one evening. We loved this property!!
The home was perfect for a large family! The host was attentive and helped us with many suggestions including finding Chef for a couple nights was a true delight. The hidden highlight of the homes location is your walking location to 0’Sullivan’sFall - a stunning lesser known waterfall hidden within Tomies Wood in Killarney National Park. Our family would walk or run the 4.5 mile round trip hike with truly Irish scenic views. The location is a wonderful gateway to the Rings of Kerry. Gaelic Football in Killarney a must to immerse yourself with the locals. On a minimal suggestion would be to purchase a new dishwater , washing machine and dryer for large groups if helpful idea. Our large family had a fantastic and memorable time in this beautiful and relaxing home and location
We had a great stay with our extended family for our Sons wedding. The place was large and very comfortable and the location & view of Lake were awesome. The home could use updated outdoor furniture to take advantage of the views. Overall stay was great and would stay here again if we needed a large home in Killarney.
This is a very beautiful (and cavernous!) home -- perfect for our family of 11 who were on an ancestral tour of Ireland together. You cannot beat the view! The hosts are extremely responsive and rooms are all well appointed. The grounds are beautiful as well -- ivy climbing the walls of the home and lush greenery and plants all over. It was extremely easy to get into Killarney via Uber/taxi (although not cheap -- prepare for a 27 Euro trip each way). The only recommendation I would make to the hosts are two things: 1) WiFi needs to be better. It is very spotty in the home despite having two WiFi points (one in the basement and one upstairs). I was in the primary back bedroom and couldn't get service at all, which was frustrating especially at night trying to get work done and 2) Integrated pest management needs to be a higher priority. Because of the home's location and the fact that no windows have screens, there is an abundance of friends that can make their way into the house, i.e. grasshoppers, flies, daddy longlegs, spiders, etc. We couldn't find any fly swatters, which we needed because the ceiling are quite higher. It wasn't anything but a small nuisance, but if you can't sleep knowing there is a spider in your room, you might have a difficult time. A good perimeter pest control treatment would work wonders for the property. But again, these are small things compared to the fact that this is the most perfect retreat for large families. We really created great memories.
Wonderful experience, owner could not have been more helpful, the house was immaculate, and better than expected. We would stay there again when the opportunity presents. Great accommodation...
Traveled with a large group ranging in age from 4-74. The house was very large to accommodate us, the yard was amazing to have to let the kids run around outside after a long day of bus rides and tours. It’s kind of far from town though. Great for the space and comfort to relax.
Family vacation, 10 Adults and 8 Children. It was not easy to find a house this big in Ireland. The setting is convenient to Killarney but away from the traffic and crowds. Beautiful lake view. Brian our host was extremely helpful. We had a wonderful visit. Highly recommended.
This is a really unique property given that there are few rentals that allow you to have so many people staying under one roof. Location and views are excellent. Even though you were outside of town, it was pretty easy to get an Uber into town. If you are driving, the one-way roads over the last several kilometers are pretty challenging. The host was excellent and provided a really nice welcome basket. He also came over and greeted us and was responsive to any concerns that we had. There was a lot of food and condiments, etc. in the home. The grill was great and provided us with a couple of meals. We had some older children with us and they loved the basketball court as well as the green space that allowed them to play soccer and have fun outside.Given that this was a high end rental, we had a couple of concerns. There were several places where molding was missing and also a couple of open electrical switches. The house really wasn’t clean when we got there. There was sand and dirt on the floors. The dishwasher also didn’t work, the host replaced it but it meant we were eating off of dirty dishes the first night. That was compounded by the fact that the kitchen sink didn’t have hot water. The furniture is definitely dated and seems like someone’s old furniture rather than furniture that was meant for the house. The house is not air conditioned so it got pretty stuffy at night as you had to close the curtains given that we were facing due east. So 8/10.
Beautiful property!!!! The house is very spacious and each bedroom has its own bathroom. The owner was so friendly and helpful! Perfect for large groups! Would highly recommend!
This home is impeccably beautiful and functional for a large family. The location is extraordinary, offering breathtaking views in a peaceful setting but just minutes from the bustle of Killarney. Plenty of parking. We settled in using it as home base to explore County Kerry and surrounds but we also enjoyed the ample room to cook and eat family dinners, closing out the night with a game of cards, pool or foosball. This property is a 10!
This house was perfect for my family vacation! We had 18 adults and it was the perfect amount of space. The house has an amazing view of the lakes right out the front door and was equipped with everything we needed! Brian and Veronica were amazing hosts and live on the property making it very easy to resolve any issues we had during our stay! The house is off a long narrow road so you do have to be careful while driving but it is a gorgeous location. We will definitely look to rent this house again in the future!
We had a fantastic week at this lovely home for a family gathering to celebrate 60th anniversary. The home is lovely single level property with all the modern amenities and charm and views you could wish to have. All the rooms were large and en-suite. The caretaker/owner Brian was helpful and available whenever we needed something or to answer questions and outfitted us with all the essentials. Close to Tomie woods walking trail. Beautiful view of lake Leane. Perfect stay! We’d be glad and lucky to stay again.
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful house in an amazing setting! The owners (Brian and Veronica) were so lovely and welcoming. They provided a great experience including a literal feast of breakfast foods! We had breakfast for days! The home is very quiet, clean and in an amazing setting looking out over Lough Leane. We were steps away from Killarney National park and walked down to the most beautiful hiking trails. Brian and Veronica were extremely responsive and friendly. The property manager was slow to respond to inquiries but the owners were fantastic and more than made up for that. I would recommend this home to anyone. It’s a great place for a family gathering and as a home base for the Ring of Kerry. It is also very large so it can accommodate a large group.
We stayed at Catriona’s property with a large group while in Killarney for a wedding. Her property was beautiful and a perfect setting for the celebrations. Amazing location, home and surrounding area made for beautiful photos, and the house itself was large and comfortable even for a group of our size. Perfect location for all the sites. I was a little surprised at first that Catriona lives in a different building on the property, but she never “hovered” or surprised us with a visit, and she was very accommodating!! We would all 1000% stay here again.
The house is absolutely fantastic. The decor the beds the size is incredible. We all loved it. The games room was a major plus for everyone. We did have 1 major fault - no hot water. There were 18 of us and there was only 1 shower that had warm water - all the rest were Baltic. 1 of the toilets was also broken - but this house is stunning. And we would definitely book again.

Hi Veronica,
I am so sorry to learn about the water issue. This is caused when a valve in one of the showers is not turned correctly. It is labelled . We could have resolved this immediately . So sorry for the inconvenience . I am glad you enjoyed your stay overall :)
Our stay at this home in Killarney exceeded all of our expectations! What a beautiful location and great choice for our 10 person multigenerational (ages 23months-75yo) family trip. Everyone had their own space but also plenty of great options to hang together as well. The owners were kind, responsive and laid back. The views were gorgeous and it’s perfectly located in a little nook close to all the adventures of Killarney and Ring of Kerry. The only real issue, which may just be par for the course in a highly humid environment, is the basement level, while clean and well set up, had a definite mustiness to it. So anyone with allergies/sensitivities to musty basements, just be mindful. The family members who used the basement bedrooms didn’t seem to mind it. Just a really lovely stay in a really lovely part of the world!
