This well-presented, mid-terrace cottage rests in the centre of Whitby and can sleep eight people in fur bedrooms.

Calliope House is a mid-terrace, period property nestled in the heart of Yorkshire's Whitby, near the beach, shops and pubs. Set over four floors, it boasts four bedrooms; a super king-size double (zip/link can be twins on request), another king-size double, a second floor double and a second floor twin, sleeping eight altogether. There is also a bathroom, first floor cloakroom, second floor shower room and lower ground floor WC and basin, as well as a lower ground floor kitchen/diner with a gas fired stove and utility, followed by a sitting room and snug. Outside is roadside parking on a first come, first served basis, with a parking permit provided, a front, enclosed terraced garden with patio, furniture and a summerhouse, along with a small rear courtyard. Calliope House is a fabulous base in North Yorkshire.

Town: The fishing port of Whitby lies at the mouth of the River Esk and is ideally situated for exploring the North York Moors and ever-changing coastal scenery. Whitby town centre is made up of winding streets and hidden alleys, with a bustling harbour, safe sandy beaches, the Captain Cook Memorial Museum and of course the Abbey, reached by the famous 199 steps.
