About this property
The House at Crooked End - Boutique property in central York sleeps 8
Crooked End offers space & superb modern comfort in a sympathetically restored & stylish Victorian terrace in the heart of the fashionable Bishopthorpe Road district within easy walking reach of all of York's history, culture, eating and shopping. The property, built in the 1880s has been renovated to a high standard with stripped Victorian floors & period features throughout. This is combined with high end matching contemporary furnishings to offer a wonderful home from home in the city.
Crooked End is located less than a minute's walk from the fashionable Bishopthorpe Road, rated 9th by the Times Newspaper as the trendiest places to live in the UK (2013). The parade of artisan shops, bars, and restaurants won the prestigious national title Great British High Street of the Year (2015).
Bishopthorpe Road lies just to the South of the city centre and is bordered by the ancient City Walls. A short riverside walk takes you into the heart of the city. Nearby is the beautiful Rowntree Park offering stunning lakeside walks and an extensive array of play equipment for children of all ages, including some facilities for children with disabilities.
When you want well located holiday accommodation the trade-off is space and cost, but with Crooked End, you can have it all, space to live and spread out combined with a great location and offered at great value prices for families and small groups.
