About the host
Hosted by Drayton Villas
My husband and I have four daughters and are lucky grandparents of four. The whole family loves to come to the island separately or together.
Why they chose this property
My family fell in love with the Isle of Wight because it is so easy to get away from it all from the mainland for a short or a long break. We always feel refreshed and relaxed after experiencing the peace of the countryside and fresh sea air. The apartment is comfortable and on a very quiet residential street. For larger family groups or friends the downstairs apartment is also available to rent.
What makes this property unique
The property is ideally positioned to benefit from an old fashioned English country village at the top of the road and access to the sea if you take a short walk down the hill.
Despite its olde worlde appearance St Helens Green has everything you need : a well-stocked village shop/post office, bus stop, children's play area, pub which serves food, an excellent restaurant, delicatessen/cafe, village football and cricket matches, Sunday car boot sale, summer carnivals....the list goes on. But if you feel like a change of scene the isle of Wight offers an amazing range of activities, historical sites and attractions all of which can be accessed on a day trip by car or bus. It is perfect for a traditional seaside holiday or all the year round for walking and sight-seeing.
