Our home is in the beautiful, quiet community of Tanglewood in Parksville, British Columbia, Vancouver Island. The forest; also known as the Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park; is our backyard and the famous Rathtrevor Beach is only 5 minutes away via private access. We have put a lot of thought and detail into this 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom townhouse to accommodate you the very best we can. We hope you enjoy your stay! 

1409 sq. ft, 2-story townhouse, with premium furnishings, comfortable beds with premium pillow-top mattresses, small kitchen appliances, etc. 3 bedrooms, 3 baths - 2 queen beds, 2 twin beds, and 2 inflatable mattresses - accommodates up to 8 people comfortably. Three full bathrooms. with heated bathroom floors throughout.  Stainless gourmet kitchen with formal seating for 6 plus seating for 3-4 at the kitchen bar. Laminate flooring throughout. Natural gas BBQ on the outdoor patio. Patio table with umbrella and 6 patio chairs. 

Enjoy High-speed internet with free Wifi - the password will be provided. You will find a television with access to Netflix and an Android box in the living room, master bedroom and the main floor bedroom. There is a large window bench near the gas fireplace to snuggle up on chilly nights. The upstairs laundry is for your use. Detergent and softener are provided.  All guests have access to the entire house and the backyard patio.  

Available for your use: 4 beach chairs, cooler, beach towels,  picnic basket with a blanket, Hot dog/marshmallow forks, umbrellas, and a wagon to haul your stuff to the beach. 2 comfy folding chairs Games, books, colouring books, outdoor games, a poker set, cribbage board, and cards. There are 2 adult mountain bikes and a pre-teen mountain bike with helmets available.   

Conveniently located mid-island, Parksville is a year-round destination ideally located for the outdoor enthusiast with easy access to miles of beaches, fishing, hiking and biking trails, local golf courses, and kayaking around protected bays and islands. There is a terrific Bistro nearby called Taste, as well as a day spa and salon. You are within walking distance of an old English pub on the ocean called the Black Goose Inn, and Tigh-Na-Mara Spa, which has a great lounge and restaurant. A corner store is a short walk if you need to pick up milk, bread, or snacks. You can also take a short drive into Parksville to find several grocery stores & markets. Whether you like beach-combing, hiking, mini-golfing, biking, sightseeing, taking nature walks, or shopping, Parksville area has it all. You will require a vehicle unless you prefer to just enjoy your own little piece of heaven. Nanaimo is 20 minutes away with great shopping, theatres, restaurants as well as ferry terminals and an airport. Visit nearby Coombs, where there is a wonderful market and restaurants, complete with goats on the roof. In the winter, storm watching in Tofino/Ucluelet is something to behold, and there is skiing at Mount Washington. (ski and golf on the same day) You can explore Horne Lake Caves, Cathedral Forest, Top Bridge Trail, Qualicum Beach, Little Qualicum River. Travel North and check out Comox Valley or travel South to Victoria.    

By requesting a reservation, you have accepted the following House Rules: Rates are subject to change without notice.  Please be respectful of our home. We expect our guests to leave our home in the same condition as they found it. No smoking (including e-cigarettes etc) is permitted in the home. After trips to the beach, please ensure the sand is washed off feet/shoes, etc using the outside tap before entering the house. No shoes in the house. A maximum number of guests: 8 (Children/babies are considered guests and included in the count). There will be an additional fee for parties of more than 6 - $15 per person/night. This is a quiet resort area and loud parties will not be tolerated. Quiet time starts at 11 PM. There are no childproof devices on the doors.  We do not have snorkel gear.

We will consider 1 dog. Please get in touch with us before booking to let us know what kind of pet you would like to bring. On approval only. There is a $25 per-night pet fee.

1 guest parking in front of the home and additional parking at the visitor parking.  A Guest Binder will be provided.

Please note that Tanglewood no longer recycles, organics go in the garbage and pop, beer cans, etc., can be taken with you or to Speedy Glass on Saturday.
