About this property
Heath Cottage dates back to 1650 and has been lovingly restored and extended.
If you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle, Heath Cottage puts you at the heart of the countryside, with plenty of local footpaths and bridleways to explore across acres of fields and farm land. Despite the feeling of being away from it all, the cottage is on the outskirts of the village of Mattishall, and you’re within easy reach of some of Norfolk’s most historic towns, including Dereham and Wymondham. The county town of Norwich is also just a 20-minute drive away.
Inside this semi-detached cottage, you’ll find plenty of room for you to all relax and enjoy your time away. There’s a living room with a wood-burning stove to keep you cosy in the cooler months, along with a separate snug and a sitting area in the kitchen too. Two of the bedrooms have zip and link beds that can be converted to twin beds should you wish.
Despite being thoroughly and tastefully renovated, the property has retained many of its period charms, including its wooden beams. The delightful, enclosed garden is accessible from bifold doors in the kitchen. On a sunny day, there’s nothing better than to open the doors fully and enjoy life al fresco on the terrace, complete with hot tub and table tennis, surrounded by the birdsong.
