We enjoyed our stay here, nice and quiet. We loved sitting on the deck, lots of beautiful fireflies at night, close enough to stores (15 minutes) Very clean.
This is a nice little cottage in a private setting with a view of Lake Erie across the street and with all the basic amenities. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood, pet friendly and reasonably priced. Close to Hillman Marsh and Point Pelee National Park. A pass was provided for the Park. We enjoyed our short stay very much.

This cottage was amazing! It's quaint and was perfect for what we were looking for. It was also awesome that a pass to Point Pelee National park was included as well. We spent so much time in the park, and it was incredible.
We definitely enjoyed our stay and will be sure to visit the area again sometime!
A wonderful little place to stay near Point Pelee National Park. It had all the amenities we needed and was perfect for our family with kids and small dog. Lovely deck with amazing sunsets over farm fields. A view of Lake Erie across the road with a cool breeze under beautiful trees.
We stayed for two nights with a family of four and two behaved cats. The home was clean and well kept and we had no issues. Great location a walk from a nice long beach and quiet lakeside area.
Cottage was clean and had most of what you need to enjoy your stay. Sits on a road across the from the Lake. Beautiful view and gorgeous sunset at night. Good location. Not too far of a drive from amenities.
Great visit to Pelee, the house was clean, communication was superb, BBQ had issues-2 out of the 3 burners worked, low great and the fire pit setup is old and rusted, needs to be replaced! Also some deck chairs would be a great idea

Thanks for the tips Wayne. The bbq is on the list for replacement this year and I wasn't aware that a burner isn’t working. Deck chairs were in the shed as they tend to blow away at this time of year. All out outdoor furniture is brought out after Victoria day weekend as the weather is generally not great for sitting outside until then.
We had a great trip. We enjoyed biking with our 6 and 4 year old to 2 beaches. We fished off the bridge and had a great time. The pass to Point Pelee was well used and we had a few great days at the park. The cottage had all amenities and we had some fun times as a family. Thanks again!
Our family had a nice time at this lakeside cottage. The cozy interior with its lake views was comfortable, and the spacious yard gave the kids and our dog plenty of room to play. We enjoyed exploring the nearby beaches - from the quiet local spot to Seacliff Beach. Our day trip to Point Pelee was pleasant, and we liked our occasional ice cream runs to local shops. The wrap-around deck was great for relaxing, and Leamington offered enough to keep us occupied. The cottage provided a pleasant base for a relaxing family getaway. It was a good choice for our low-key vacation needs.
Nice spot, very clean, quiet. Nearby beach was closed. We did not spend much time there - mainly with our kids and grandkids near Pelee. One thing I didn't like was having to deal with an app - sign of my age - but my son-in-law helped me with that. (Pelee is a national park, by the way, not provincial)
The best way to share my thoughts on this property is to compare it to last year's one. (We go annually to this area.) Last year's was fairly clean, fairly decent, but a little 'meh.' This property was exactly what we needed -- super clean, great kitchen, two nice bedrooms and a great little bathroom. I've showed up to too many places that didn't live up to the listing nor the photos within, but this was exactly as shown. Loved it! Thanks to our hosts, who got back quickly on the two or three queries we had just before and during the stay.

The pictures that are online need to be updated. Example the hammock location is over grown and the outdoor furniture is not the same as in the picture. The furniture in the living room is worn out and uncomfortable as are the blue plastic outdoor chairs. Maybe some newer fry pans and a big salad bowel would have been nice. The bathroom was good……..liked the shower head. The big kitchen table was very nice. The bbq looked new and worked well. Air conditioner was a godsend as it was really hot. An awning over the deck would have been appreciated as we couldn’t sit outside until much later in the day. Just some suggestions. Location is great for fishing out of Wheatley Harbour.

The outdoor table and chairs were replaced after a big storm. Pictures have been updated now. An awning isn’t feasible due to the high level of wind and the probability of it being left open. I love sitting underneath the big maple tree, feeling the breeze and enjoying the shade. I replace pans and many other kitchen items often due to misuse and theft. Sorry you didn’t find the furniture comfy, I've found that the leather furniture stands up better and is easier to keep clean than other upholstery. We do our best to provide a cozy stay with lots of amenities as we love our cottage and sharing it with others.
We spent a week here and enjoyed both the property and its proximity to the area’s attractions. The cottage with central air/heating sits on a generous property with hammock, yard games, and fire pit in the back, and a barbecue and view of the lake across the road at front, which made for a consistent breeze of fresh air. Fireflies in the back yard and across the neighbouring field at night were magical. Satellite TV and Internet kept us connected, and the National Park season pass permitted regular access to Point Pelee and its many beaches (there’s also a quiet beach just 1 km down the road). A great shower with instant hot water and a washer/dryer kept things fresh. Nothing you need in town is more than a 15-minute drive away. My 2nd time visiting the area and a great place to stay if I return again.

Very peaceful and beautiful! Perfect quiet getaway yet close to everything we needed.
We loved the home. Very open and clean. Had everything we needed and then some. Sat on front porch and enjoyed the view of the lake as well as the access area. Had a fire in the fire pit. Very private with the extra land around the home. Was close to everywhere we wanted to go. Pelee Island. Pelee Point. Beaches. Winery's etc.
We highly recommend eating at Ray's Ribhouse!! Delicious ribs and fried chicken!! Tell Ray Heidi & Gleck from Pennsylvania recommended his place! You won't be disappointed.
And you won't be disappointed with the home! And the owners were wonderful with communicating.

Tracy and I have professional careers in sales and we love to get away when we can to recharge our batteries. That's what we love about our cottage, with all the activities available to us, we can choose something different everyday. Whether its wine testing or just relaxing, there's always something to do.
We both live in the Haldimand county with our 18 year old boy who is now in college. When we are not busy in our careers we enjoy catching up on out favorite shows or enjoying an evening with our friends.
Why they chose this property
Why drive 3 hours in Toronto traffic when you can drive 3 hours in no traffic and still have amazing vacation?
We love this location because its in the exact opposite of where everyone else is going. Plus we have the same amenities as anyone else up north; hiking fishing, wine tasting, swimming, kayaking.
We offer great rates and the local attractions are endless. Make this your #1 destination yearly.
What makes this property unique
incredible local attractions, extremely well-kept and maintained.
From one family to another, we know how expensive things can be. Why not choose something affordable that will provide you with a lifetime of memories.
