Communication with host was great! The location was nice and enjoyed the opportunity to be in the Poconos. Close to Shawnee Mountain and a trip to Stroudsburg was fun as well.

There was a smell throughout the house that made me uncomfortable to inhale. The hot tub temp is maxed out at 88 degrees. The mirror in the downstairs bedroom was filthy. The dilapidated gargage structure with a chair exposed out of the window is an eye sore. The driveway wasnt properly shoveled. The mat infront of the hot tub was drenched. I left as soon as I woke up. The host was responsive, but wasn't pleased with the home.

Claribel, I wanted to clarify that the temp of the hot tub is not maxed out at 88. It's 110. We do send instructions on how to raise the temp and when you called me to ask I also explained how to adjust it and also how to turn on the jets. It's extremely simple, however, we recommend to do that right at check in because when temps are extremes as now it does take sometime for the water temp goes up. The minimum temp is 80.
The garage is not part of the cabin/rental unit, although it's a storage, it's set to be demolished in the spring.
We had a guest before you and rug by the steps of the tub got wet and due to the weather, it obviously wouldn't dry before your check in.
The driveway is constantly shoveled because we are constantly getting snow, that's why people come to the mountains to enjoy the snow. We never had complains about it.
We have scents in the house and we also offer candles to our guests to light up. I'm sorry if you didn't like the smell.

In terms of the overall experience I would give the property 4/5 stars. Isaac, the owner, was very responsive and helpful throughout the stay. Communication was a 5/5. Highlights were definitely the hot tub and the wood burning fire place. Both worked well and were very easy to set up and use. The split units heated the house nicely as well. Didn’t get a chance to use the sauna. All that being said there were a few things that took away from the experience. The property itself seemed a bit larger in the pictures. Overall cleanliness could definitely have been better. The rug was dirty with mouse droppings and hair. There were mouse droppings in the kitchen cabinetry as well, and hair in the shower. However, what was most disappointing was the smell when you enter the house and when the water is running as you run the showers. The smell also never really seemed to dissipate. Lastly, the garage / shed on the side of the house had broken windows and garbage which was a bit of an eye sore and isn’t shown in the pictures. For the price the house could have used some serious TLC. Once again, overall we enjoyed our time and had a very nice weekend at the house.

Why they chose this property
We fell in love with Lovers Edge A-Frame the moment we saw it. The soaring ceilings, triangular lines, and endless views of the trees made it feel like a piece of art hidden in nature. We wanted a place where we could unplug, slow down, and reconnect — somewhere that offered both adventure and calm. The Poconos gave us that perfect balance: seclusion and serenity, yet just minutes from waterfalls, trails, and local wineries. We designed and furnished this cabin to reflect everything we love about this region — cozy nights by the fire, morning coffee on the deck, and quiet evenings under the stars. Every detail — from the wood-burning stoves and hot tub to the private sauna and forest-view deck — was chosen to create a space where guests can truly breathe, rest, and feel at peace. We hope you’ll love it as much as we do.
