The location of this cabin is amazing! Beautiful view of the lake and the sunsets at night from the deck. The cabin has a very rustic and cozy feel. I would definitely stay here again.
We had an amazing time during our stay at this cabin! We have been coming up for years and thought we would try something other than camping. We will definitely rent here again! Amazing views of Lake Metonga, great boat access, close enough to town and the beach…just a lot of great things to say. Kathy was awesome to work with from the start. Very personable, communicated quickly, and we had everything we needed. Thank you again Kathy for allowing our family to stay on your property…we can’t wait to do it again!
Decided to stay here for a long weekend getaway. The view of the lake can't be beat. Pricing was great as well. Communication with property owner was quick and concise.
As described but there is a road between the property and lake. Very rustic and small but has a great view of the lake.

Sucks
Not very good conditions tolet held together with duct tape floors very out of level stairs to dock steep had to cross road to get to dock not impressed would never stay there agian left early 4days just not very good conditions so we left stayed at casino.
This cabin was perfect for the 4 of us & had everything we needed. Although not directly on the lake - beautiful view of it. Close to restaurants, bars & casino. Our hosts were very kind & accommodating. We would definitely return.
This is the 4th time we have stayed at Kathy’s cottage. We like it because it is old with character and the view is to die for . Listening and watching the loons from the porch along with the eagles . A piece of heaven. Thank you again Kathy for everything!
A cosy two-bedroom cottage, clean, beds were better than expected. Close to other cottages and other houses. The kitchen worked well for us. The swim area could easily be improved with a clearing of rocks for a walkout and by adding a ladder to the dock. The nice beach area 100 feet away was off-limits yet was owned by resort owners.
I thoroughly enjoyed this cabin and lake experience.

Mixed feelings
The scenery the lake the nature that we experienced was amazing. We saw a bald eagle soaring several times a day all four days. The lake had clear water with a combination of Sandy and Rock bottom. From the pictures it look like you would walk out of your cabin and go right out to the water. You had to walk down a steep set of stairs and cross the road to get to the dock. I have a bad knee if I'd known that I probably would not have rented. Fortunately my knee was not acting up this weekend. The doc did not feel safe to walk on there was that easy access to get into the water from our dock. So I had to walk down to the next Landing where was a Sandy Beach go in and out of the water. I was only comfortable if I was sitting outside the cabin. Even though there was a nice breeze outside it did not flow into the cabin well. It was really warm when we were there so we needed to sleep with fans on us luckily I had brought a fan in addition to the one they provided. In the bedroom I stayed in the bed was very comfortable and clean. In the other bedroom the bed wasn't as comfortable and because the floor was not level my daughter felt like she was sliding off the bed. The floor was not level so with that could be something that would throw you off-balance. I did enjoy the fact that we were up on a hill since there was a road I felt it had a beautiful view and that it was safer because we had our dog with us. We did have a plumbing problem, thankfully they were able to get it resolved the same day. Which I was grateful for. Property was nicely kept. If we could have used the inside of the cabin play games at night it would have been so much more enjoyable. Instead we had to go hang out in our bedrooms and sit by the fan cuz it was so blooming uncomfortable in there.
Our accommodations were comfortable. We had great weather. Although a bit windy to get some good fishing in. The Sunsets were picturesque. A highlight was good neighbors.
Overall we had a great experience in cabin 3. It’s a true north woods cabin...yes that means bugs too (no mice or other rodents). It is small, but for 2 adults we had plenty of space. Used one bedroom to sleep and the other for our clothing. The couch is old, definitely felt all the springs in the back, but we spent the majority of our time outdoors (boating, biking, paddle boarding). We were able to dock our boat at the pier and there was plenty of room to park our boat trailer and SUV. We brought our bicycles as well and enjoyed riding around the lake and to Charlie’s (bar), they have strange hours, so make sure to look that up ahead of time. The lake takes some getting used to, lots of shallow areas...did a number on our prop (our fault for not looking up lake depth etc ahead of time). We enjoyed meeting our neighbors over a campfire only to realize we all live within 5-20 mins of each other! Absolutely amazing sunsets!!! Yes the lake is down some wood stairs and across a small road. This was no big deal to us and definitely not a deal breaker in the future. It was actually better being up higher! Overall this cabin is fantastic for a quiet relaxing getaway! Seriously just book it!!! We will definitely consider it again in the future.
