About this property

Quaint secluded cottage in the heart of the village in the heart of Scotland.

This delightful stone built cottage is in the centre of Aberfeldy, a beautiful market town situated in the heart of Scotland. The cottage is in a courtyard set back a few metres from the Main Street up a small lane. It is surrounded by a wicker fence and enjoys privacy in a small enclosed gated garden. There is space for a car at the side of the property.
There are three double bedrooms and two bathrooms with a spacious living room and comfortable kitchen/dining area. There is ample storage and a comfortable sheltered area to sit outdoors around a fire pit.
Aberfeldy is in one of the most picturesque counties of Scotland with an abundance of outdoor activities (golfing, fishing, walking, canoeing, cycling) for the adventurous and a cinema within the town. The festival theatre in Pitlochry is twenty minutes by car and an award winning book shop with cafe just across the road. There are art galleries in and around the town.

Amazing stay! Highly recommend
I stayed at the Coach House for almost 2 months. During this time, my mother and sister visited, three girlfriends visited, and my husband stayed with me most of the visit. It worked perfectly for all of us. The Garden is truly delightful and the cottage is charming, comfortable, with modern amenities. Colin was a delight and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Aberfeldy is a lovely Highland town, great base for exploring. The best VRBO property I’ve encountered.

Fabulous Stay in Aberfeldy!
We enjoyed our stay in Aberfeldy immensely. The property was beautiful, clean, modern, and in the heart of the village. We could walk to everything, including the Co-Op for a few groceries. Excellent, friendly host met us upon arrival and gave us the grand tour. This was by far the best of the VRBOs we stayed in. Would definitely return.

About the host

Hosted by Colin Clark

Host profile image
I am a retired veterinary surgeon and spent much of my youth in and around Aberfeldy. When my parents were ailing, I bought the cottage, the better to be able to keep an eye on them as they neared the end of their lives. After they died, I kept the cottage and have used it as a holiday home for my family and friends and have occasionally let it out.
Now I want other visitors to enjoy the area and since I have retired, I am better able to run it as a HOMEAWAY project.

Why they chose this property

The cottage is stone built with thick walls which help to keep it cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It dates back to the late nineteenth century.
The property is in a quiet location in the centre of the town with easy access to all shops and local amenities. Having a gaited garden, it is very safe for young children and suitable for family holidays. There is a local recreation centre with swimming pool and gymnasium as well as a local cinema. There is also a park with a play area for small children.

What makes this property unique

Peace and quiet whilst being in the centre of town. As soon as you step out to the Main Street there are views of the near and distant hills. The surrounding countryside is stunningly beautiful and a short walk will take you to the banks of the mighty river Tay and the famous General Wade’s bridge, built in the early 18th century.
