Tried hard but failed
It's a shame to criticise this property as the owners have spent a lot of money renovating it to a very high standard. The property is ony large enough for 2 people so the inclusion of a sofa bed in the lounge is superfluous, especially as it was very uncomfortable to sit on. A self catering apartment requires a dining table and chairs. The heating was erratic. The bathroom was small so it was inconvenient that the small sink was obscured by a bathroom cabinet that wasn't needed and should be replaced by a wall mirror as sufficient storage space was provided by the undersink cabinet and wonderful deep timber window sills which were present throughout the property. The kitchen was compact but lacked storage space. The fridge was ok. The selection of saucepans was poor and both the frying pans had seen better days. The outside area suffered from a lack of maintenance. The property was imacculately clean and the lighting system great fun. Parking as discribed was limited but we were fortunate to find a parking space, the location of the property is superb. A performance at the Minack was amazing, and buses to Penzance and beyond ran from 20 metres away, as did a bus to St Ives. St Michaels Mount was a good day out between tides. We tried to sweep up the patio but failed to make good. It was still a brilliant week.
