Tucked away on Tattnall Street, Whippet house is a two-bedroom Savannah gem. Guests will enjoy the short walk to downtown's center, while having a private retreat in one of the city's oldest residential neighborhoods.

You’ll find the living room appointed with an eclectic yet warm collection of furnishings and decor from the owners' international travels. A formal dining room connects the front of house with the cheery kitchen, equipped with modern appliances and cookware for all your dine-in needs. Off the back of the home, you’ll find a private courtyard that comfortably seats four.

Both bedrooms are upstairs, each with their own full baths. The first bedroom has a Queen size bed and antique writing desk, while the second bedroom mirrors the first but with a King size bed and excellent views of historic Tattnall Street. With windows on either side of the home, Whippet House receives ample natural light during the day. Shutters and window treatments ensure privacy when wanted.

One block north lands you in Chatham Square, one of Savannah's gorgeous green spaces. Head east two blocks to historic Forsyth Park, known for its famous fountain and a popular location for weddings. Enjoy a liege waffle and latte at Mirabelle Cafe, before touring the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, located right across the street. Broughton Street, a hub of Savannah’s shopping, and River Street are only 10-15 minutes north from there, respectively.

Great location, very comfortable. We found it to be walkable to most of the things you'd want to see and do. We have kids so factor that in to these times... Roughly 10 minutes to Forsyth, 15-20 minute walk to a ton of restaurants (Oglethorpe or Broughton), too far to walk to Plant District.

Place itself was immaculate. Laundry was great. Awesome location just blocks from Forsyth Park, and easily walkable to riverfront and all of the historic parts of Savannah. Definitely would choose the Whippet House again

Nice location to enjoy Savannah

Stayed with two friends as a girls weekend, we loved the house and would stay again. Very clean and comfortable, well appointed kitchen, close enough to historic district that we walked everywhere, and we loved walking through Forsyth Park each day. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Savannah

Our visit to Savannah was terrific due to our outstanding accommodations at the Whippet House. The house is quiet, clean, and beautiful, and the artwork is phenomenal. The home is located close to public transportation, so we did not do much driving once we arrived. The kitchen and bathrooms are well appointed, and we appreciated having laundry facilities and off-street parking. We highly recommend staying when visiting beautiful Savannah!

Great location and beautiful home

We stayed in Savannah for St. Patrick’s Day weekend. This beautiful home was conveniently located to all venues and close to Forsyth Park which was beautiful. I took my dog and had great green space to walk her several times a day. The house is nicely decorated, everything you need is there and beds are comfortable. We’ll definitely be back. Great host, who communicates well.
