About the host

Hosted by Fern and Hannah Stampleman

Host profile image
Steve, Fern, and Hannah Stampleman come from New York City, New York. In the 1970's after several cross-country camping trips the 10-acre piece of land with an A-frame shell on it was purchased. It got built up, Hannah came along, and the family enjoyed many seasons of away time together and still do! They have been renting since 1981. They enjoy hosting because it gives them the opportunity to share what they love about this "great escape!"

Why they chose this property

This neighborhood nestled in a community of Vermonters was the choice because it afforded the family a private, stunningly fresh, and beautiful getaway They have enjoyed learning about Vermont living.

What makes this property unique

The property is off the beaten path, the last of three places, secluded at the end of a private road. The land surrounding it is spacious, hosting many trees and greenery. Like the hosts, you may enjoy seeing the morning sun peek through the perimeter of the property, studying the spellbinding cloud formations from the deck, and marveling at the "dance of the leaves" when a breeze comes by, all from the comforts of "home." The area beyond the property has much to offer, exciting and engaging everyone. Some guests have said that this property is rustic but connected!

*** Due to excessive cleaning, we are now charging a pet fee upfront, but is refundable at the end of your stay. If your dog sheds excessively or gets particularly messy outside, please brush and wipe them down prior to being in the house. Mud and/or excessive fur on the walls and furniture will not result in a refund ***
