Perfect location to explore

Property was exactly as described and in the perfect location to explore this end of the island. With good restaurants just a short walk away and a sea side bar right across the street it made evenings very relaxing.

Spectacular location right next to the shoreline with dramatic waves. The owners of the property are very nice and accomodating. We enjoyed using the espresso machine and wood burning stove, and we loved their dog Pinky. If we come back to the island we'd definitely stay again at Sea Roots.

We loved it and it felt really safe. Not downtown so it was calm. Nice spot if you like to hang out by the water (at sunset or else). A bit cold in the evening and with the wind at this Time of year (february) but there is a Wood stove easily usable :). The hosts were sympa too :). Recommand it!!

Sehr schöne Wohnung, ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht und Tania ist eine sehr nette Gastgeberin. Die Lage ist toll, direkt am Meer, kurze Wege zum Beach und Naturschwimmbecken. Würden jederzeit wieder buchen.

Ein Objekt mit einem tollen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Auch der Kontakt zu den Vermietern und ihrem Hund Pinky war sehr angenehm.Wir haben uns hier insgesamt sehr wohl gefühlt und waren begeistert von der tollen Lage direkt am Meer. Man erlebt hier zauberhafte Sonnenuntergänge.

Très bon choix

Très bien situé et tranquille, assez facile d’accès et confortable. Ne parcourez pas des tonnes de km pour trouver des piscines naturelles, à marée basse elles sont droit devant chez vous de l’autre côté de la rue. Cuisine bien équipée (sauf le four) lit confortable, laveuse disponible bref c’est un très bon choix. Seul bémol est l’odeur de moisissure assez forte dans les armoires de cuisine.

Sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Empfang. Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt und jede Minute genossen. Vor allem die direkte Lage am Meer und die beeindruckende Landschaft im Hinterland haben uns begeistert. Eine Woche zum genießen

Wir waren eine Woche hier und anhaben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Unterkunft liegt optimal zum Besuch der Meeresbecken und weiterer Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe. Empfehlen würden wir auf alle Fälle hier die Walbeibachtung zu machen, besser geht es nicht.

Quiet Getaway

We wanted a place away from the city with minimal noise at night. SeaRoots in Mosteiros did not disappoint. The stars at night and the sound of the ocean are worth the drive. The accommodations were clean, light and airy. Plenty of hot water for showers. We loved every minute of our stay.

Fantastic location

What a terrific spot. It is approximately 10 seconds from the ocean, three minutes from two snack bars with gorgeous views at sunset, and close to incredible hikes. The only drawback was the minimal-ness of the flat--if that is a word. Not quite enough dishes. Not enough comfortable seating for two people to read inside or in the garden. Like that. However we stayed for a full week. It would be perfect for a shorter stay. Tania was fast to respond with tips on locals hikes and when asked about a salad bowl, delivered one in minutes! We enjoyed our stay in Mosteiros very much.

Beautiful place at the end of the world

Tania and her husband are very nice persons. The place is beauytiful, right at the sea. Very quiet. We enjoyed watching the waves, knowing to be at the end of Europe, the fresh air and the bright and wonderful colors of the water , sky and plants. The place is very well equiped. Even a barbeque place with enough wood for a fire is there. As well the oven in the bedroom was very nice. We also waited for the dogs in the morning to come and visit us. The honey we got from the place is delicous.. It is a good place to recommend.

Wer den Westen der Insel incl. Sonnenuntergänge erkunden möchte, muss diese Unterkunft wählen ...

Ich war bereits zum 3. Mal auf Sao Miguel, aber dieses Mal wollten wir die Sonnenuntergänge sehen und haben unseren Aufenthalt in 3 Teile unterteilt. Wer in diesem Ort ist, kann die Westhälfte bis zur Mitte sehr gut in kurzer Zeit erkunden und abends ist dann immer noch genügend Zeit, den Sonnenuntergang zu genießen. Wer zusätzlich diese Unterkunft wählt, hat es nicht weit, es sind nur ein paar Schritte bis zum Atlantik. Nun aber das wichtigste, die Unterkunft. Bei der Ankunft wurden wir sehr freundlich und kurz und knapp eingewiesen, so wie wir es mögen. Für zwei Personen gibt es alles, was man benötigt, eine Küche mit allem (incl. z.B. Gewürzen und Öl), ein gemütliches Bett und ein ausreichendes sauberes Bad. Insekten haben keine Chance aufgrund der Fliegengitter und im Außenbereich unter einem Baum eine Sitzmöglichkeit für den Abend, bevor es an den Atlantik ging. Weiterhin gab es einen Grill, den wir selber nicht nutzten, aber einen Abend unseren Unterkunftsnachbarn überließen. Also absolut empfehlenswert, denn das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt auch noch ... also viel Spaß beim Buchen und in der Unterkunft!!!

Entspannung pur

Ich war mit meinem Ehemann für 3 Tage Gast in ihrem Haus. Wir waren sehr zufrieden, es ist alles mit sehr viel Liebe gemacht worden, sehr sauber, alles vorhanden was man benötigt um einen schönen Aufenthalt zu haben. Der Kamin verströmte eine schöne Wärme, sowie eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Sie sind eine sehr nette Gastgeberfamilie (incl. Kinder).

My family and I moved from New Zealand in 2015 and been recovering this property in order to live a simple life, growing our own food and raising our children in close contact with nature. Douglas enjoys surfing and fishing, and he's done the majority of the carpentry work in the property (we only use local sourced timber). Tania loves gardening, yoga and permaculture. Our son Sansho loves insects, swimming, surfing and skateboarding. Our baby twins Jade and Jasmim, born in the island, made an unexpected addition to our multicultural family of two kiwis and one Portuguese (me).
In the effort of minimising our environmental impact, we have an ecological hot water system, low consumption lighting, water savers, we encourage our guest to separate compostable materials and recycle.
