The Old Post Office is a wonderful holiday home perfect for families young and old. Fantastic facilities and some very thoughtful touches. The information from the owner both before and during our stay was excellent. The village is quiet but there’s still a lot going on and it was handy location for exploring the area.
We had an absolute wonderful stay at the Old Post Office in Geldeston. We stayed here as a couple with our two children aged 4 and 7. They had an absolute blast with al the toys and games that were provided. We realy enjoyed the wonderful garden with the fairylights. The house is very well located almost next to the pun the Whery Inn, it is worth noting that we never had any issues with noise dispite it being so close. We would highly recommend visiting this wonderfull holliday house.
The Old Post Office at Gelderston is a beautifully presented property. From first impression, until we left the property, it was a delight. This is a real home from home. Our host provided the personal touch, being responsive to our queries.Overall a stay which will provide happy memories for many years.
The house was beautifully presented; had everything we needed, and is situated perfectly for wonderful walks, places to eat out, outdoor activities and relaxation. We will most definitely return.
Lots of room, very well equipped. The best kitchen that I have had the pleasure of using. Loved all the extra little touches to make it homely. Adored the outdoor lights that came on in the evening. Would stay there again, if we were down that way.
Lovely cosy but spacious cottage in a great location for exploring the area. Great pub almost next door, short walk to the river, lots to do locally. Owner was quick to reply to any messages.
What a fabulous place to stay! Such a lovely home with lots of interesting and thoughtful features including a much appreciated welcome pack. The house is very comfortable and has a beautiful courtyard garden. Our grandson loved all the toys and role play areas. The games room was an added bonus. The Wherry Inn is practically next door and a pleasant place for a drink (we didn’t eat there). Sue is a great host and quickly replied to any queries I had. Thoroughly recommended.
Lovely cottage with gorgeous courtyard garden. Well equipped, great location a stones throw from the river, and with a pub nearby. Enjoyed the beach hut too, a lovely extra.
Everything was as described, including the welcome basket which was much appreciated. After getting to grips with the heating arrangement, the weather proved to be so warm and the rooms so sunny, we only needed extra heat late at night and early in the morning.
We had such a beautiful time in this lovely cottage, we took a little mini break for a few days and it was just amazing definately be coming back.

Beautiful house, we all felt at home and the boys loved the play shop, cafe and all the toys. Nice little park just around the corner too. Thinking of coming back next year 🙂
Gorgeous cottage in a lovely area. A great base to explore a really pretty area. Cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. Excellent communication with the host. Highly recommend!
Saw several local sites Africa Alive, Somerleyton Hall, Wroxham Petting Farm,Time and Tide, and several days at Pakefield beach in the Happy Hut. Enjoyed eating at Royal Oak Pizzeria, Twyfords, and Wherry Inn. Wonderful for our family of 4 adults and 2 grandchildren.
This property is adorable and stunning, we could not have asked for more. The cottage is lovely with everything you could need.
My children loved the post office/shop play room, what an added bonus. We intend to return soon.
