The Garajau area is known for its calmness and proximity to the sea. Located between the city of Funchal and the airport, it has several services and restaurants close to the property.
This apartment was completely renovated in 2020, enhancing all its brightness and space. It offers two bedrooms, one with a double bed and a private bathroom, the other with two single beds. Using the sofa bed in the living room, the apartment has a maximum capacity of 6 people. Another highlight is the balcony for you to relax and enjoy the sun. The apartment has a parking space in the building that you can use for free.
AREA
In the Garajau area you have easy access to several restaurants, shops, and supermarkets. There is also a beach ten minutes walking distance and a small trail for your morning walks, right next to the Cristo-Rei monument. Renting a car at the airport can be a good option to discover the island at your own pace.
You can also choose to relax in Garajau by walking its residential streets, going to the beach, or reading a book.
GETTING AROUND
The best option to get to the apartment will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport. If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address.
There is a bus stop 2 minutes walk from the apartment.

INTERACTION
We are always available to help or answer questions. We do our best to reply to all requests. We also have an app for guests with all the important information about the property and other useful information for your stay.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also provide a baby cot, a high chair, and a baby bath if needed, but you should request these in advance. There is a first aid kit, extinguishers, and a fire blanket in the property.
ATTENTION
We inform that a Municipal Tourist Ecotax will be charged for each person staying overnight in the municipality of Santa Cruz. All guests staying in tourist developments and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights stay (€14 per person). Close to your arrival, you will receive the link to pay this fee.
HOUSE RULES
To ensure a pleasant stay for everyone, we ask that you observe a few simple rules.
• Smoking is not permitted inside the property.
• Parties or events are not permitted.
• We ask that you be considerate of the neighbours and keep noise levels down, especially at night.
The property may be equipped with a smart sensor (Minut) that monitors noise, smoke and temperature levels, solely for safety reasons. This system does not record conversations or collect personal data. Should abnormal levels be detected, you may receive a message from our team asking you to check the situation.
In accordance with Portuguese law, all guests must present valid identification for registration.
A municipal tourist tax may be charged (€2 per person per night, up to a maximum of 7 nights).
Check-in: from 4 pm. Early check-in is subject to availability and payment of a fee.
Check-out: by 12:00. Late check-out is subject to availability and payment of a fee.
