About the host
Hosted by Alan
From Inverness originally, I have lived and worked in Portree for almost 20 years now. I work for VisitScotland, the national tourism body and would be delighted to suggest many places for you to explore - some of these you won't see or hear about in the guidebooks! Married with a small son, this is a family business but we prefer to treat you as friends than guests and would be delighted to chat if you wanted too. I have played the bagpipes for over 25 years and am the pipe major of the local Isle of Skye Pipe Band - if you want to know more about the bagpipes and maybe hear a tune, I'm your man!
