- You can reach downtown Rome and Naples in 1 hour by train.
- The beach is within walking distance. Just 350 meters away, there is both a public beach and a beach with facilities.
- Natural hot springs just 20 minutes away (Suio Terme)
- Numerous playgrounds. The closest one, 200 meters away, overlooks the sea. In Formia, there’s a skate park for kids, and in Scauri, a children’s playground by the sea.
- Free outdoor gym and playground on Vendicio Beach
- Numerous historic town centers to visit just a few minutes away (Gaeta, Formia, Minturno, Itri, Sperlonga, Fondi, Sermoneta, Vindicio).
- Rock climbing. Gaeta is one of Europe’s most popular destinations for rock climbers. The Sant’Agostino plateau is just a 15-minute drive away.
- Winery tour and local wine testing (Telaro)
- Hiking. A 7-km-long beach right outside the house stretches all the way to the historic center of Formia (4 km from the house). The Gianola Blue Oasis, with the ruins of Roman villas along the way. Monte Rendentore offers scenic trails with ocean views, also suitable for biking (a visit to the Church of San Michele is recommended).
- Visit dairy farms where buffalo mozzarella is produced; you can watch the production process and sample mozzarella and buffalo meat.
