For a vacation in the Périgord en Noir, come enjoy our house "Les 7 Châtaigniers" with two private pools, including an indoor pool heated year-round, and a jacuzzi and sauna. Located 18 km from Sarlat, close to the most visited places in the Périgord: Domme, Beynac, and La Roque Gageac.

In a quiet house with a jacuzzi, sauna, billiards table, and Wi-Fi access, you'll have everything you need to make your stay in the Périgord a success.

The house has several bedrooms and bathrooms, including one on the ground floor with a bathroom accessible via two internal steps. The remaining bedrooms and bathrooms are located upstairs.

Excellent facilites in quiet location

Lots to do in property, rain or shine. Well equipped although the property is a little “tired.” Biggest issue is the property is not in Sarlat as advertised but 19kms to the south near Nabirat! Thus, no walking into town, rather bike rides and walks in the countryside….

Nice house on a good location

We had a good stay in this property. Something for everybody! A check of the kitchen equipment is needed. Plancha was not clean. Drawers got stuck. But overall we recommend it.

Great house with two pools in rural France

Eleven of us - aged 13 to 75 - had a wonderful week in this property deep in rural Dordogne, but only 5 miles from Gourdon. Big kitchen and dining room, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Big lounge with tv, pool table and table football, we had tournaments every day. Super indoor pool, great for kids and adults, plus an outdoor pool (unheated) not due to open until 12 June but at our request the owner kindly opened the pool on 1st June. Great pool for those 50 lengths before breakfast! We ate breakfast to the sound of crickets and Cuckoos. Highly recommended for family parties.

Gite tres bien placé, tres spacieux mais qui manque d'entretien de maintenanceporte wc qui ne se vérouille pas, lavabo bouché, frigidaire americain qui ne fait plus de glacons, TV qui n'a plus d'antenne.C'est dommage car c'est une tres belle batisse qui mériterait une petite remise à niveau

Niveau de prestations pas au rendez-vous

Nous avons passé une semaine dans cette maison. Le niveau de prestations n'est malheureusement pas au rendez-vous (rapport qualité/prix). - problème de température excessive du SPA et problème de PH de l'eau rendant l'utilisation quasi impossible (fond du SPA blanc nécessitant un nettoyage) - température de l'eau de la piscine et propreté pas au rdv - nous avons payé pour du bois de chauffage qui n'était pas présent (nous avons dû en acheter à nos propres frais) - problème de fuite d'eau des WC à l'étage - problème de prises électriques dans une chambre à l'étage - problème de luminaires défectueux à l'étage - problème de chauffage réglé toutefois en 24H - la douche de pluie du rdc était inutilisable en raison du calcaire Visiblement des travaux de rénovation ont été effectués avant notre arrivé mais les finitions n'ont pas été réalisées dans les règles de l'art. Cette maison qui a du cachet mais nécessite un meilleur entretien que pour justifier le prix de location pratiqué. Nous allons introduire une réclamation et une demande de remboursement partiel eu égard aux éléments ci-dessus.

pour passer de superbes vacances en famille

Cette location est parfaite : - les explications pré location sont complètes - la propreté est parfaite - le propriétaire a bien expliqué le fonctionnement de la maison à l’arrivée - la literie est propre et très confortable ; idem pour les draps et serviettes louées - la cuisine est très fonctionnelle ; vaisselle et instruments culinaires sont en bon état et très suffisant - le salon est très grand : canapés confortables, billard et baby-foot très appréciés par toute la famille - les chambres son très grandes - les salles d’eau et wc sont propres, neuves ; l’eau est toujours chaude - la piscine chauffée et sous véranda a été le clou du séjour : très spacieuse et propre - le jacuzzi et le sauna sont formidables - la salle de douche avant la piscine est un vrai plus - le parc est bien entretenu : nous y avons fait une belle chasse aux œufs de Pâques ; la balançoire est bien pour les petits - la tranquillité est assurée sans passage de voitures - la situation de la propriété est excellente pour visiter châteaux et grottes dans un petit rayon de kms Vraiment, nous avons passé de superbes vacances à 10 personnes de 4 à 70 ans

Very nice are and property. As per previous reviews the property needs a little Tlc but between the three families that used it we all had a great time. Communication with the owner was a little protracted prior to arrival but once there everything was very smooth and the property manager was quick to resolve any issues we had.
