Clean property and great location for the ferry. Amazing views to sit and watch everything go by. Nice parking and outdoor area. Really nice get you in / breakfast packs. Comfy bed but we found it very bright with street lights front and through the skylights at the back. It was quite wet when we stayed so we were inside more than normal, tv is in a very random location / high making it not too comfy for watching from the sofa. Goud value though for what we got, we'd stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! My family and I loved the quiet location, the convenient parking, and space inside the unit. The hosts left us a few grocery items that my children really enjoyed and the list of departure tasks was very reasonable compared to other similar properties in which we’ve stayed. I highly recommend this stay and will book it again if I return to the area!

This was genuinely one of the nicest holiday let experiences I’ve yet to have. Kevin, the host is super friendly throughout all comms before we arrived. When we got there we were delighted to find the fridge and cupboards well stocked with necessities to get us started and some treats as well. Great start as after a long trip, a coffee was needed. The flat itself is immaculate. Everyone has its place and the layout is really spacious and relaxing. The views outside are fantastic and don’t be worried about the road outside. Traffic dwindles to very little after dinner. It is not a busy road at all. Walks Along the waterfront to the local town are perfect for getting in a morning 5k and we used the ferry itself to see family in Dunoon. All in all a lovely experience for me and my daughter and much better by a mile than any local hotel room you would care to find at ANY price. Thank you!!

A wonderful break at the wee cottage by the Ferry

From opening the front door we were happy with this property. It’s location was perfect for our requirements and it was immaculately clean. The owners had gone over and above with finishing touches which made it feel like a home from home. Breakfast, cleaning materials and condiments were all included in the price. Communications with the owner was useful and the user manual was informative and well written We only stayed for two nights on this visit but we will definitely be returning to this property and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

The Wee Cottage

The Wee Cottage was lovely it was also clean & tidy when we arrived!! Communication with our host Kevin leading up to our stay was brilliant, we didn’t require anything whilst we were staying (the cottage is very well equipped) but I’m sure if it did it would have been arranged very quickly and Kevin passed on his number if we needed to get in touch quickly (Kevin & Catherine also live next door, so not far away if needed!!) It was myself, my husband and our 2 children (ages 6 & 9) who stayed at the cottage (and our dog Mabel) there is a nice double bedroom upstairs which the children had and we slept on the double bed settee downstairs. The cottage is lovely but it is quite small (which we were aware of) we used it mainly as a base to explore the area. The views from the cottage are AMAZING!! And it was nice to sit out in the evening, the only slight downside being the busy road, our kids know not to go on the road, but might be a concern for families with younger children! We also had to have the dog constantly on her lead if outside with us or if we had the door open, again I knew this from pictures before I booked, so it wasn’t a surprise. There’s a gorgeous beach with a park (which Kevin told us about) a 5 min drive away, we also went to Largs which the kids loved and also over to Bute on the ferry - Glasgow is also only an hour away!! Lovely cottage and lovely hosts!! Thank you very much to Kevin & Catherine. Kim Dempster (Lancaster)

So glad we chose a bit off the beaten bath. The site, being on the water, watching ships, a lovely rainstorm, charming shops and dinner with a view, our stay was magical and just what we needed!
