Are you tired of the hustle and bustle of city life? Need to get some fresh air? Then head to Chewelah and stay in Mid-Mountain Cabins' quaint, cozy cabin nestled in the woods five miles up Flowery Trail Rd. We are one of the closest lodging to 49 Degrees North Mountain Resort just five more miles up the hill. 49 Degrees has a variety of beautiful trails for all ski levels, as well as showshoeing and cross country trails. We offer Stay and Ski Packages onsite for discounted lift tickets as well as two extra sets of snowshoes for our guests to use free of charge. During the Spring and Summer months, staying with us will put you within 25 minutes driving distance to three separate incredible golf courses in our area. Not to mention we also have Stay and Play package deals with Chewelah Golf & Country Club so ask us about those specials. You will also find hiking trails of all levels in and around our property.

Our vacation rental cabin was renovated in 2016 with beautiful wooden floors throughout the entire cabin and added bathroom and kitchen. The bedroom area features a custom-made queen size log bed made personally by David with logs from our property. We also have a sleep nook that is a huge hit with the kiddos, as well as a futon chair that folds down into a twin size bed. The bathroom has a vanity top, shower, toilet and is fully stocked with towels, hair dryer, soap, and shampoo as well as luxury robes for our guests to use during their stay.

Our large open kitchen has beautiful cabinets and features a cute breakfast bar. The kitchen is fully equipped with a coffeepot, small refrigerator, stovetop, crockpot, cooking pans, as well as all the kitchen utensils, plates, and cups you will need for a wonderful stay.

The cabin has a 48 inch LCD TV with 200+ DVD library, Netflix movie access, and various PlayStation 3 games as well as various board games & cards. Free WI-Fi is available. Most cell phone connections are available on the property.

While we love animals, we currently do not allow pets in the cabin. Please also note this is a NON-SMOKING rental cabin and we do live on the property.

We invite you to come and enjoy our cabin for all seasons in the Chewelah, Washington! In the evening, you will find we sometimes playing good ole country music in our saloon. With a quiet family-oriented setting, you will have a wonderful stay at Mid-Mountain Cabins whether you are skiing down the slopes, hiking a trail around the area, playing a round of golf, grabbing a bite to eat at one of our fantastic restaurants in Chewelah, or relaxing in the cabin. Come to rest . . . relax . . . and renew yourself in the wilderness!

Perfect Mountain Cabin

This was absolutely the perfect place to stay that made skiing at 49 so easy for my family. The location is a gateway to so many local mountain activities - while being close enough to run into town for supplies. The cabin is super clean, well appointed, and very comfortable. We can't wait to visit again in the summer.

Great spot in Chewelah

Great spot in Chewelah above town - quiet and open to see the stars. The hosts are welcoming and the area has many adventure opportunities - we enjoyed golf and hiking so all seasons are great.

A great location for skiing

This property is perfect for a small family and only 10 minutes from 49 Degrees North. The hosts are welcoming and accommodating. We've stayed her twice now and we will be back!

A real gem close to great skiing

Great relaxing skiing cabin

We had two days of skiing and this was the perfect location. It’s a small cabin but it was just right for the two of us. It’s quiet and relaxing and only a 5-10 minute drive to the ski hill depending on the roads. Rey was very nice and a great host!

Quiet cabin in the woods

Perfection!

Rey and Dave have thought of everything! The cabin was comfortable, cozy, and had all the necessities plus some welcomed extras: the apple cider and hot cocoa mixes were exactly what we needed after a day on the mountain. Rey and Dave take great care of the property and the cabin. We loved being only 10 minutes from the base of 49. The woods were quiet and peaceful. It was exactly what we wanted from our weekend getaway. Thanks go to Rey and Dave for curating such a special space. We hope to be back. Thank you!

Phenomenal Stay

We stayed 2 nights for our 5 year anniversary and couldn't be happier with the accommodations and the hosts. They actually do a concert every Friday night so not not did we have the pleasure if staying at this small piece of paradise we were also serenaded by these amazing people. David and Rey you have set the bar for VRBO, the cabin had so much personality, and the bed was very comfortable, the dogs were very sweet, we cant say enough. We have already talked about booking another stay, highly recommend this VRBO thank you for being amazing hosts and for such an incredible experience.

David and Rey moved to Washington state in 2010 with a dream of some day opening rental cabins to share this wonderful location with guests who love to ski, golf, hike, and just get away from every day stresses in life.

David is a retired firefighter of 25 years from Austin, Texas and is currently the Chewelah Department Fire Chief. David also is on the 49 Degrees North Ski Patrol and would love to show you around the mountain for the ultimate ski trip!

Rey works from home as a virtual paralegal so it is the perfect job to be able to take care of the rental cabin details and cleaning. Rey is also very involved with the Chewelah Chamber of Commerce and other community organizations.

David loves playing the guitar and singing for their guests around the campfire. You can sometimes even find him playing locally at Quartzite Brewery, Chewelah Golf & Country Club, or Boomtown Bar at 49 Degrees North Resort

David and Rey moved from Texas to Chewelah, Washington because it met all the criteria they wanted when they were looking for relocating.

Their cabin in the woods offers a peaceful, tranquil setting that lets you get away from every day life's distractions, but yet is close enough to town for relaxing at the local brewery or wine bar while grabbing a bite to eat after a long day of skiing or hiking the wilderness.
