Updated Waterfront Cabin With Large Private Dock, Stunning Views

This updated cabin features waterfront dining & lounging deck cantilevered over the deep waters of Terrapin Bay at Deer Lake with 2+ bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The main floor master bedroom with on-suite bathroom has a Sleep-Number queen-sized bed. In the loft bedroom, you'll enjoy a queen-sized Sleep Number bed and an in-wall air conditioner. There are also two twin beds located in one of the cozy loft semi-private rooms.

Sun on the EZ dock most of the day, (which reaches approximately 60ft off shore to over 20ft water depth), makes this the perfect sun bathing and swimming spot, or enjoy the shade of the ½ covered lounging deck with a good book and a great view. Launch your boat at the public launch and dock it at your own private composite dock near the best fishing on the lake in the no-wake “Narrows” on the north-east end of the lake. We only have room for one parking spot on our property, so plan accordingly.

Arrive to a fenced yard with low-step main floor entry into a home with vinyl plank laminate floors throughout the great room featuring luxury granite counters, white beadboard cabinets, stainless appliances and knotty pine & cedar wrapped ceiling beams & walls. The view throughout the home of the deck & water beyond, even from the kitchen, is breathtaking!

Activities on and around Deer Lake are in abundant supply. There are literally hundreds of miles of hiking trails, lots of great fishing spots, fantastic water-sports & activities and even a nearby riding stable within 20 minutes.

Known for its deep water, swimming, fishing and boating Deer Lake was recently featured on HGTV’s Lake Front Bargain Hunt as one of the premier Inland Northwest Lakes. Only 10 minutes from a great Pizza & Ice Cream parlor, 20 minutes to a fantastic fresh market & 30 minutes to the Wandermere Movie Theater, Starbucks & McDonalds means you’ll never run out of great things to do.

The home is completely stocked with dishes, furnishings, linens & towels. Nicely decorated in a northwest lake theme, you’ll enjoy the upgrades in this quaint hideaway.

Cantilevered Cabin

This was our family’s 5th year at the cantilevered cabin. We love it. It’s familiar and feels like home away from home. We love the deck, dock and lounger chairs. It’s peaceful and quiet and restful.

Quaint and Quiet Getaway

We enjoyed our stay very much. Our hosts were great to work with. The cabin was clean, nicely done and well stocked. It seems bigger than the pictures. The deck was the highlight, just lovely. The private dock was great. It was a peaceful place to spend time together relaxing. It would be nice to have seating for 6 in the indoor living space. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely hope to stay again next summer.

Great, once again!

This is our 2nd year renting this cabin and once again it was great! They added a few things that made it even better such as a washer and dryer - very helpful! We had a small problem come up during our stay and Ron and Jill were right on top of it and were in constant communication with us. The location is so perfect because it is away from the busyness of the main lake and is nice and quiet. We had a wonderful time!

Great spot to get away from it all

We really appreciated the finishes and simplicity of this nicely updated lake cabin. Right on the water, great spot for kayaking and just soaking in the sun. We spent hours just lounging on the deck reading and enjoying the antics of the neighboring dogs and boaters. Note that their is no washer/ dryer, so pack accordingly. Also, no washcloths provided - we'll make sure to bring our own next time.

Great get away

This cabin was wonderful for a family get away in the middle of quarantine. The entire house is completely new on the inside and has an amazing deck on the water. It was clean, comfortable and cozy for our family of five, with three 8 year olds. The kids swam, collected snails, jumped of the dock and loved watching the wildlife and fishing. The sleep number beds were fun to try out as well. There is definitely only ONE parking space and was a tight fit for our truck but we made it work. Jill was a great hostess and checked in on us to make sure everything was okay. We brought our boat and the dock worked just fine. The bay is very calm and seems to be the quiet part of the lake. It picks up on the weekend but is never too busy. We hope to visit again.

Practically perfect in every way

This was one of the most relaxing places we've ever stayed. The location is great, the cabin is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed, the dock was wonderful, but my favorite part was the deck. We spent most of our time either there or on the dock. There was nothing better than enjoying our coffee on the deck each morning and then enjoying a beverage on it in the evening. The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms were very nice, and they provided everything we needed in the kitchen. The only drawback was the parking (only room for 1 car at the cabin), but that was easily remedied with the boat trailer parking just down from the cabin a few hundred feet. We parked a car there without any issue. We loved seeing all the wildlife nearby - eagles, osprey, turtles, fish, loons, ducks, geese, deer, etc... so peaceful. The owners are great too! We will definitely stay here again! It was perfect!

A Peaceful Week at Deer Lake

We spent a wonderful week at this Deer Lake cabin. Everything was perfect! The cabin was exactly as it was described. Jill was the perfect hostess; check-in was smooth and organized, the cabin was clean and well provisioned, her welcome manual was very well written and useful. The cabin is near the end of a narrow, 5 mph, dead end road so it is very remote and quiet. The deck has morning sun and afternoon shade, so it is very comfortable. We loved it and hope to return again another time.

Great escape!

Loved the back porch over the water! North facing so always shady. Great place to bring kayaks and play in the water. Quiet with lots of wildlife! Saw a mama deer with her two babies, watched three baby birds in a nest right by the door and watched an eagle circling over the hill across the water.

The prefect retreat!

We were looking for a place 'on the water' anywhere within about a 5-6 hour drive, so the options were pretty open for us. I am so glad we found this place! We quickly booked it. The pictures are accurate. That deck sits right over the water. Each morning, I couldn't wait to get up, get a cup of coffee and sit on that deck. There is wildlife everywhere... osprey, eagles, turtles, snails and ALL kinds of fish - catfish, trout, perch, bass. We fished right off of the deck. There were 6 of us - my husband and I, our two kids and their partners. There was plenty of room for 6 adults. The house stayed very cool even though the temps were in the 90's that week. I would HIGHLY recommend this cabin. And, the icing on the top? All of the neighbors were so friendly. Book it!

Peaceful and nostalgic

We used to stay at Deer Lake when we were children. This home brought back a lot of memories. The Lake is so beautiful and very quiet where the cabin iis located. The cabin seemed larger to me than appeared in the pictures. It is very well furnished, comfortable, well laid out. Jill made sure that she contacted me as soon as I arrived to make sure that my needs were taken care of. All in all it was a wonderful stay. Highly likely I'll stay here again.

Great place stay on the lake!

Ron and Jill had everything we needed to have a great experience! The house was very clean and the dock was also very nice. The bathrooms were very clean and updated as was the kitchen. The house was well stocked with kitchen supplies, and the bathrooms were also supplied with clean linens. We also enjoyed trying out the sleep number beds (we've always been interested in purchasing one for ourselves). It was a great time and a great place to stay!

LOVED it!

This property is amazing, we took our 4 kids and just had an amazing weekend. There is so much to do, floating in the lake, fishing, kayaking and boating. The house has a beautiful interior and is great for families. Overall, we can't wait until we book it again.
