A magical holiday

A wonderful cottage in the heart of one of the most lovely villages I've ever visited. Shaftesbury ticks all the boxes: pubs, restaurants, stunning views. So did Dorset for that matter. We truly had a wonderful stay, our dog included.

Overall the property was in poor condition inside and outside.The living room furniture was dirty. The pots and pans were in terrible condition, as was the toaster. Some window blinds did not work properly.Not up to standard at all, in our opinion.Would not go there again.

Quirky period property

Great property in a great location. As it was in the centre of Shaftesbury every thing was in a short walking distance. A property with typical heritage aspects, uneven floors, small staircase and low ceilings which all added to the charm. One has to go expecting some compromises in terms of space and modern convenience but nothing was unbearable. The dining room opening onto the rear garden path which led to the small lawn area, slightly disconnected from the house. There was plenty of hot water, heating and the wifi worked in most parts of the property. Improvement points would be a better equipped kitchen for self catering and a little more of the household consumables like dishwasher tabs, toilet paper and washing up liquid.

Gemütliches Haus mit Garten

Das Haus ist sehr schön und gemütlich. Das Haus ist durch eine schmale Wendeltreppe nur für größere Kinder ab 4 Jahre geeignet. Der kleine Garten ist sehr schön. Auch für die Kinder zum spielen. Das Haus ist zentral in Shaftesbury gelegen. Restaurants sind gleich in der Nähe.
