About this property
The View Cottage -Tennis Court- Nr Frome, Longleat
Summary:
Nestled in the picturesque Mendip hills, this beautifully renovated old stable block offers a cosy rural hideaway. Perfect for a getaway with friends or family, you'll be ideally located to explore nearby cultural attractions like Longleat Estate and the City of Bath. Enjoy holiday fun on the private tennis court or take a stroll down the country lane to discover a charming moated castle, pub, and café.
The Space:
The property has a good-sized family kitchen, with full height fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and coffee making facilities. A gentle slope takes you up into a newly carpeted lounge area with dual aspect windows, French doors, log burner and dining space for 4. Plus, SMART TV with Freeview and cupboard with games.
The master bedroom and twin bedroom (can be a king on request) both have French doors and views out over the local landscape. Comfortable mattresses, Laura Ashley linen and fluffy bath sheets.
The newly installed family bathroom has an electric shower/bath, heated towel rail and plenty of storage. We provide Faith in Nature toiletries for all of our guests to use during their stay.
Externally there is a large parking area for 2-3 cars, private gated garden and lawned area over looking a private tennis court which is yours to use during your stay. The tennis court use is subject to tennis only and guests must have none marking shoes and their own balls/rackets.
Guest Access:
Hawthorn Cottage offers convenient parking directly outside the front entrance, ensuring ample space for guests. The property is thoughtfully arranged on a single level, making it accessible for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. While there is a step from the exterior into the kitchen area, and gentle ramp up to the living/dining room, the overall layout prioritizes accessibility and ease of movement for all guests.
