About this property

Sound Winds 5 bedroom waterfront estate w tennis court

Sound Winds is a discrete 1.5 acre estate with panoramic views over Bermuda's Harrington Sound located just 10 minutes from Bermuda's airport and 5 minutes from the Rosewood @ Tuckers's Point, the Loren Hotel and The Mid Ocean Club.  The property is  spacious with well-appointed indoor & outdoor spaces making it perfect for groups, families & entertaining. With its own private swim dock & tennis court, Sound Winds is ideal for those who want to make best use of Bermuda from land and sea. 
Sound Winds is managed by me (Tom). I rented it for a week on holiday in '18 and fell in love... It's now my primary home however I travel for most of the year and so Sound Winds is available for guests when off the island.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did however it isn't for sale ;-)
What you need to to know:
Sleeping arrangements:
-4 of the 5 bedrooms are spacious, have king beds, water views and plenty of hanging and drawer space. 
-The master bedroom is slightly larger and has the only en-suite. 
-4th bedroom can be configured either as King bed or 2x XL twin.
-The 5th bedroom is on the land side and has a single bed, it can also be used as office having desk, monitor and comfortable desk chair
-There are also 2 inflatable air mattresses which you can put where you like.
-We can only market the property for 9 guests due to Bermuda's vacation rental legislation anything larger is treated like a hotel
The only stairs in house are the couple that go down to the suken sitting rooms from hall or gym area (non essential).

-Private swim dock with paddleboards & snorkelling equipment
-Tennis court with racquets and balls, pro available on request
-Super fast internet ~450mb down, ~200 mb up.  
-State of the art cinema room with 120" 4k screen, Apple TV & Nintendo Switch.  
-Sonos throughout house  and outside areas
-Gym area with Temp.fit, Peloton and mats for yoga/stretching + massage table. 
Location & getting around
-We are 10 min BDA airport 15 min towns of Hamilton & St Georges,  5 min from beaches & golf of Mid Ocean & Tucker's Point.  
-There is a Bus stop at bottom of our drive 
-Twizy (EV) charger on the property
-Rentals and airport transfers can be arranged. 
-Housekeeper who visits 1x per week
-We will be available 24/7  during your stay by whatsapp.  
NB the property does NOT have (or need) manmade swimming pool instead it has a private swimming dock into Harrington Sound.

Great location. Close to restaurants, market and the beach. The view on the bay is spectacular. Morning swims off the dock were are favorite. We had 10 people staying at the house and it was very comfortable. The host is a great guy and very helpful. If I am ever back in Bermuda I would stay at Wind Sounds again.

Stunning waterfront with hugely helpful owners

Fantastic property directly on the water with a dock; facing west for beautiful sunsets. House is spacious with large windows and terrace that look onto the water. Tom and Anya who own the property are immediately responsive and very helpful.

This property lived up to —or surpassed—every expectation. It is spacious and well-equipped inside and outside. The location on Harrington Sound and its water access made this an ideal rental for a special family friends week long event in June. We would do this again in a heartbeat !

Beautiful, private location

The property was beautiful! We spent our mornings on the large veranda enjoying the gorgeous view of Harrington Sound. The house is a bit tired, but you can not beat the location and the privacy. The house was large and accommodated our party of 8 easily. Location was central and easy to get to both St. George and Hamilton by bus, with the stop right at the end of the drive. We even were able to walk to John Smith Beach. The information packet included detailed information about the house, taxi's, grocery and more. We had a wonderful stay!

Far Exceeded Our Expectations!!! Absolutely Gorgeous

We stayed here for my relaxing Bermuda Bachelorette. My mother (who booked it) said that the owners were very helpful when she and my friends were planning from the US with suggestions of activities, etc. The actual space is larger than the pictures (which never happens)! When we arrived, the owners were super accommodating. They welcomed us personally and gladly answered some questions for us as well as made suggestions. It was the perfect amount of space for all 9 of us. We had a huge sleepover in the movie theater area, we went paddle boarding with the fish and we had family dinner on the porch. We loved every part of the space. The manual provided was very helpful, we used the suggested taxi driver, Sergio, and he was great. Bermuda is a beautiful place, Sound Winds was heaven on Earth and you officially have several customers that will return for sure! Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Beautiful views

The views were amazing, the location was perfect (close to the ground very, John Smiths beach, the aquarium, airport, St. George, …. The house was off the beaten path and quiet and serine and had all the amenities that we needed including a great tennis court, kayaks, ….. We would recommend it to our best of friends.

Fabulous property that has been neglected.

The wonderful picture of the property from many years ago is not representative of its current state. The aluminum ladder sits carelessly discarded below the diving board which has also disappeared. The replacement ladder had 3 steps missing which I retrieved from the bottom of the ocean floor making the ladder unusable. The ping-pong table was rusted and uneven with a broken net. Paddles were missing handles and were mushy. The tennis court while playable has some low spots that accumulate water and needs better fencing to keep the ducks out who like to poop on the court. While playing tennis the electric company came to shut off power due to an unpaid bill. Luckily because we were there we were able to connect the technician with the owners who had not been reachable. Such an elegant house and property deserves better care.

Wonderful setup on Harrington sound

Grand old Bermudian house, beautiful views. This house sits on a beautiful spot, it is big and airy and the outdoor patio is fantastic. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this listing. Great to have spices and other basic food items as well as laundry detergent, shampoo, conditionner, peloton bike, tennis rackets, tennis balls, ironing board, cot, high chair, etc... the house is very well equipped and this definitely made our stay better. The host were very responsive and friendly. All in all, a great set up

Terrific vacation and a terrific house

Could not have been more surprised you’re more pleased than our time in Bermuda our house was fabulous the view was terrific the water was marvelous we had a dock with all the equipment we needed to swim to snorkel and a board kitchen was fabulously equipped with everything you could possibly want beds were comfortable housekeeping was excellent
