About this property

Beautiful Large Home between Banner Elk and Boone

Welcome to our 3-bedroom vacation home nestled between Boone and Banner Elk, boasting an elevation of almost 4,000 feet. This beautiful getaway is designed to provide you with a comfortable and memorable stay for 6-8 people. We spent most of 2023 making much needed updates to our house!

As you enter the house, you'll find a well-equipped kitchen complete with all the essentials, including coffee makers, a blender, and all the utensils. The first bedroom features a king bed, deck access, and an en-suite bathroom for added convenience and privacy. The second bedroom also offers a king bed and access to the deck. In the third bedroom, you'll find both a queen and a full bed, along with a large closet and desk area. Each bedroom is equipped with a TV featuring Rokus for your entertainment.

The two additional bedrooms share a full bathroom and a convenient half bathroom. If your kids are seeking a cozy spot to hang out, they can head up the spiral staircase to the loft area, where two twin beds and a delightful reading nook await.

For some indoor recreation, make your way to the basement, which houses a pool table, various games, and another TV with Roku. Outside, on the lower deck, you can relax in the four-person hot tub while enjoying the picturesque views of deer, foxes, and groundhogs that often visit the backyard.

This vacation home offers easy access to a wide range of activities. Whether you're seeking adventure at Hawks Nest zip line and snow tubing park, exploring the scenic trails of Grandfather Mountain or Otter Falls, hitting the slopes at nearby ski resorts, experiencing the nostalgia of Tweetsie Railroad, or indulging in shopping and golfing, you'll find something for everyone.

Conveniently, you'll also find grocery stores, gas stations, and restaurants nearby for all your daily needs. Please note that the town of Seven Devils requires tires with chains or 4WD for winter driving and imposes fines for non-compliance. While access to Leprechaun Crossing is on a publicly maintained road, it's important to note that the driveway has a steep, narrow decline.

This house is privately owned, and we kindly request that you treat it as you would your own home. If any issues arise during your stay, we are committed to addressing them promptly and ensuring your utmost satisfaction.

Beautiful vacation

The host was very responsive! She worked with us to check in early. Provided a great experience. The cabin was slightly outdated but very cozy. The fireplace, hot tub and views were amazing. Cabin had everything we needed. Simple check in /out process. Plenty of room for my whole family and then some. The loft area was nice as well with three single beds. We will be back!!!

Great Weekend Trip

First off, I would like to say Tammi is great! Very fast, responsive host. She answered every question(s) I had immediately. I loved that! The place was cute and homey with lots of games and things for everyone to do. I wish we could’ve stayed longer to enjoy everything that was available to us. The house pretty much had everything you need. We enjoyed it very much and would come back in the future! :)

Great mountain retreat

Overall great place to stay. Ideal location to skiing restaurants and shopping. Only issue was the hot tub was not working properly which was disappointing, but the owners were very responsive even though we were not able to come up with a fix during our trip.

Had everything we needed.

This was a great jumping off spot for our family of four’s spring break hiking adventure, and could have comfortably housed another family as well. It’s nice to have use of the garage, but driveway is steep, so not sure what it would be like in winter. View up to grandfather mountain is lovely and neighbors are well-spaced so that it still feels pretty private even with no leaves yet on the trees. Accommodations met expectations, and amenities such as hot tub, fire pit, games, books and pool table were well-enjoyed. Kitchen had everything we needed, including to cook up the trout our 8yo caught at the farm at the bottom of the hill 😊

Loved It

Tammi was great to work with renting this property. Everything was neat and tidy. We’ll definitely lead with Leprechaun Crossing should we plan another trip to the area. Nice little backyard and fire pit. Spacious interior, very comfortable with 8 people (2 families with kids from 5-14); would have been just fine with 10 guests. Hot tub was clean. WiFi & TV’s were easy. Very convenient to Hawksnest for tubing, not too far from Sugar.

Wonderful Vacation Home

We absolutely loved this beautiful home. It was spacious and clean. The kids loved the pool table and hanging out in the loft. We enjoyed our weekend and would love to stay here again. My son got to experience snow for his birthday and it was great. Tammi is very professional and was available to help me anytime I needed her.

Great place for family

This house was great it was only a short drive to Boone and minutes away from snow tubing. It was also only a short drive to grandfather mountain and to tweetsie railroad. It was a great place for my family. It was very clean and seemed to be took well care of. My kids enjoyed the loft area upstairs along with the pool table downstairs. Me and my wife did enjoy the hot tube one night during our stay and help from our great time snow tubing with the kids. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking a place to stay. If it had a higher star rating I would put it. We most definitely will be renting again in the near future.

Mountain Getaway

The house is really spacious and the amenities were very nice. The kids liked the pool table, games and videos. The house is in a great location. The view of Grandfather Mountain is beautiful. Otter Creek Falls is a nice hiking area very close to the house. We did a few things in Banner Elk which is right down 105. The driveway seems pretty tight, but we managed just fine in our Yukon.

Great rental for Spring, Summer & Fall!

The house is situation at nearly the top of the mountain in the township of Seven Devils, NC. Boone is about 20 minutes away & Grandfather Mountain is viewable from the house! The house was clean and all appliances are in good condition/working order. The Downstairs game room was a big bonus for us as the kids hung out down there with a pool table and Hot Tub on the back porch. Very quiet neighborhood with resident deer & Chipmunks ever morning & evening. The Otter Hiking Trail is located on the mountain and has a great waterfall about 1/3 the way down. Great location to launch your daily excursions and also a great house to just hang out and enjoy the day. I would recommend this rental and will most likely rent again in the future. PS: This May be a great place during the winter, but your vehicle must be equipped with 4 wheel drive and most likely tire chains due to how steep some of the switchbacks can be. I will note that I am from Florida and would not be able to manage the road if Snow & Ice were on the roads leading up the Mountain.

Lots of comfortable space

This home was perfect for our weekend ski trip to Sugar Mountain. The home is located close to the slopes as well as Boone and Blowing Rock. We had three couples and three vehicles. The home was very comfortable and large. The master suite was huge! It could have accommodated a few more. If I had to say anything negative about the home, it would be that one of the full baths is downstairs (all bedrooms are on the main level). The two other bedrooms share a bath sort of Jack and Jill style (one bedroom accesses from the hall instead of directly from the bedroom). However, it really wasn't a problem for us because the others just occupied the bath down stairs. Would stay here again!

Amazing cabin in the mountain.

The cabin was perfect for our family during Christmas. The cabin is located on the top of the mountain and perfectly positioned not far from local ski resorts. I would recommend this stay for any family.

Great house in good location

Great house with plenty of space, big deck and beautiful views. Very clean and well accessorized with towels, kitchen utensils, blankets, etc. I stayed with my three teenage daughters and I felt like the house had all that was needed for the four of us. I might recommend bringing some extra plates, if I had a larger group staying, but other than that, plenty of utensils, glasses, mugs, cookware, coffee maker, etc. Barbara was also great about communications and instructions. All in all I highly recommend the house.

GREAT PLACE, GREAT LOCATION, Will RETURN

We scheduled a last minute getaway for Labor Day Weekend. The "Leprechaun Crossing" was a fantastic place. The location was between Boone and Banner Elk which made for easy access to the local attractions. The house was very roomy and furnished as one would expect, for a house this size. The pool table on the bottom floor made for endless hours of entertainment for our teenagers. The only concern that we had was parking for two oversize vehicles. The driveway runs parallel with the house and the entrance road, and there was little room to turn around or get to the garage. The vehicles we had were a Ford F-150 and a Ford Expedition. With smaller cars, this would probably not be an issue. We managed to park along the driveway in front of the house and had to back out and head back "up" to turn around. Not an issue with the lodging, just a concern. Overall, a FANTASTIC place, that we would definitely use again.
