Remodeled, clean, fresh, bright, and welcoming filled with the Aloha spirit and a laid back vibe. Enjoy the peace and quiet of Kauai's north shore, live like a local, walk to the beach through a secret groomed trail filled with ruins and views of Hanalei that are unparalleled. For you surfers, you can walk to Hanalei Bay and paddle out from this path. Morning rainbows appear daily across the street with dramatic skies and mountain scenery.

Filled with all the comforts of home, you can enjoy your brand new fully equipped kitchen with all the amenities, three uniquely designed bedrooms upstairs, with all new linens & bedding, two remodeled baths, one walk in shower and fresh new towels, and a living area with mountain view, two comfy sofas with a modern Hawaiian vibe featuring local artists and vintage artwork. No need to lug the beach gear, we supply you with boogie boards, beach towels, mats, umbrellas, and beach toys for the little ones, and even some games for after dinner fun.

We are a five minute drive to Hanalei and the Princeville Market Place, two local shopping areas. For Outdoor Enthusiast there are endless walking trails, golf courses, bike paths, hiking trails, and world class tennis courts all on Princeville. Just a short 5 minute drive to Hanalei you can enjoy the historic town, it's quaint shops, local artists, great dining, surf, bike and kayak rentals, a health food store, smoothie bars, Hanalei Strings (where you can get your Ukulele and a lesson), and some great views of taro fields. For Surfers the world renowend Hanalei Bay and Tunnels Makua beach is your backyard playground. For Hikers the world famous Kalalau Trail of the Napali coast is a 20 min stunning drive along the coast to the end of the road at Ke'e beach where the trail begins. For Snorkelers the North Shore's famous Tunnels beach and Ke'e beach are your place to find the Honu, sea turtle, and many other tropical fish. For sight seers, the options are endless. And for those that just want to relax, there are unlimited beaches calling. A romantic adventure, family vacation, girls getaway, a long term stay in paradise, or a guys surf trip our home will fulfill your dreams of living the island life in comfort, tranquility, and ease.

There is no central air conditioning in the unit. There are two portable AC units in the upstairs master bedrooms. I have just added a portable for the downstairs but no central. There are high end fans in every single room with multiple speeds. There is a wonderful tropical cross breeze as well with all the windows open which is how we love it. There is no pool or spa, but the beach is just a mile away. There is a wifi speaker in the house to connect your favorite tunes.

Great Location

The home was located in a wonderful location just outside Hanalei and super close to everything in Princeville. The house was as described with a good sized kitchen for cooking and a great supply of beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards. It was a bit tight for six friends but we made it work and had a great time. The property manager was extremely responsive and helpful.

North Shore Kauai

My family enjoyed our time here - it's clean, has lots of space and the beds were comfortable. We much appreciated the boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrella. It's a good central location to explore the north shore of Kauai convenient to both Hanalei and Princeville.

We are a family of four that started coming to Kauai 20 years ago. After connecting deeply with the magic of Kauai and some incredible friends we found ourselves called to the island and we finally set down some roots. We live and work in Malibu, California, but our lives and our communities are split between Kauai and The Bu. Sadly, we lost our home in the Woolsey fire while we were in Kauai, but have found new perspective on life and what is important. Our family is filled with avid surfers and philosophers and this little cottage is a dream all four of us shared for many years. This is our home and we are happy to share it with like minded people who have a zest for life and who just understand that we all need a beautiful place to enjoy from time to time, and you are worth it. Why they chose this property

The location is what is unique about this property. A private street and a quaint complex nestled into a tropical landscape with only a few units. The gem is the path to the beach and it's proximity to Hanalei Bay by walking or driving. But, even more spectacular, and why we chose this street, is the Rainbow Views daily across the street. We wanted Rainbows in our life, and this is the magic spot. In the morning with your tea or coffee, looking out at Bali Hai or with your wine in the evening. Happiness is. Also, the complex is filled with artist, visitors, health guru's and other locals creating a really nice community giving you the feeling of living in Kauai.

What makes this property unique

We hope you enjoy our home and find the charm in it we do. Everything has been remodeled, and we took pride in our furnishings, making sure that you felt at home and felt Hawaii. We have spent time enjoying the house and made sure everything is spotless and comfortable. We love the quaint vibe of Hale Honu and it has a feeling of living like a local, away from the tourist, crowds and vacationers. You will enjoy the chorus of morning birds and the roosters, cozying up to read a book, or just cooking spaghetti dinner, you are covered.
