CENTRAL SARLAT, DETACHED HOUSE, HEATED POOL, PARKING, WiFI, EXCELLENT REVIEWS
** HEATED POOL **
La Maison Breuil is your perfect vacation rental. A centrally located detached period town house with mature gardens, private HEATED pool, fibre internet and parking.
Less than a 10 minute stroll from Sarlat's medieval city where you will find Sarlat's famous farmers' market (Weds & Sats), gastronomic restaurants, pavement cafes, street performers, historic buildings and so much more.
Our beautiful period stone townhouse comes complete with private heated pool, parking for 2 vehicles (3 spaces in total), 3 bedrooms (one en-suite) all of which have 5* hotel quality goose feather duvets, feather pillows and white Egyptian cotton bedding which makes for a wonderful relaxing sleep. Comfortably sleeping 6 people, 2 bath/shower rooms (one of which is en-suite) and an additional ground floor cloakroom W.C.
We have English language TV with a VPN so you can choose your country of choice, or you can have French language TV if you prefer. The house has gas central heating allowing guests a comfortable stay all year round.
GROUND FLOOR:
There is a fully fitted kitchen and dining area equipped with everything to make your stay an enjoyable one, oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, coffee machine, kettle, toaster etc.
Dual aspect lounge with twin sofas, flat screen television and dual aspect windows overlooking the petanque courts.
A ground floor cloakroom WC.
The flooring throughout is a mixture of beautiful chestnut and/or antique pine.
FIRST FLOOR:
ENSUITE MASTER BEDROOM: MASTER BEDROOM with king size 160cm bed and EN-SUITE shower and WC facilities.
TWIN BEDROOM: Opposite the master bedroom is a large TWIN bedroom with two single beds and lovely bright dual aspect windows. If required, we can put an additional single fold away guest bed in to accommodate 3 people in this room - by request, ideal for a family house sharing.
TOP FLOOR:
Lovely BEDROOM in the eaves with original beams (the doorway into this room has a reduced door height). The bed in this room can be made up as a single or king size 160cm bed, depending on your requirements.
Full size family BATHROOM complete with curved bath, shower, WC, hand basin. bathroom cabinets (the doorway into this bathroom has a reduced door height).
GARDEN:
Private heated above-ground 5.5m x 3.5m pool open from May through to September (into October is possible but will be dependent on the season's temperatures), wrap around south facing sun terraces and covered rear terrace providing shelter from the midday sun. The private rear garden has several mature trees and shrubs and a small lawn area. There are lovely flowering Mock Orange trees which arch over the gravel path leading up to the house and a beautiful rambling wisteria leads from the house to the pool area. We have six comfortable sun loungers on the decking areas by the pool, with two large sun shades if required. Pool towels are provided when the pool is in use.
There are several outside seating areas to choose from, either in the sun or shade, with a lovely shaded external dining area for six people plus a BBQ.
We have created a lovely private town house from which you can stroll to the gourmet restaurants in Sarlat. Most restaurants are less than 10 minute walk of the house so you can enjoy a few glasses of wine when dining out without having to worry about driving (taxis tend to be very expensive here in rural France and must be ordered in advance!).
Sarlat is a small medieval town of exceptional beauty with its narrow winding streets, stone roofs and medieval and renaissance architecture. You will be mesmerized by over 1000 years of art and architecture at every turn, all accessible within 10 minutes on foot from your Sarlat holiday home. And the beauty of our location is that you can sit in the garden enjoying the pool or having your lunch and it's peaceful enough to hear the birds sing.
Please be wary of listings that claim to be in Sarlat or 5 or 10 minutes from Sarlat. This often refers to driving time. We are a genuine 10 minute walk to the medieval center. We've heard countless stories from holidaymakers believing they were coming to stay in Sarlat but have had to travel miles to get anywhere.
You can visit Sarlat's famous farmers' market and food hall or indulge in French pavement cafe culture while you watch the world pass by. Sarlat has many free events and attractions throughout the year including a Christmas market with ice rink. With events taking place almost every month of the year, there is always a good time to visit Sarlat! In summer you will find street performers, open air theatres, music festivals, fireworks, acrobats, musicians and clowns providing nightly shows for your entertainment. After a day spent messing about on the river, visiting caves, medieval bastide villages and chateaux, why not sit on the terrace with a glass of wine and watch the locals play Petanque, or even have a go yourself.
There really is something for everyone here in Sarlat, right on your doorstep...

Why they chose this property
Stunning period property with many original features, private heated pool, mature private garden and a stroll into Sarlat on foot. What more could you ask for?
What makes this property unique
This is a wonderful turn of the century period stone town house with good size mature private garden set within an easy 10 minute stroll of Sarlat. La Maison Breuil is situated in a fantastic, residential central location. With only a short walk to the wonderful boulangeries for your morning croissants and freshly baked baguettes. Everything you wish to sample, restaurants, shopping, sight seeing etc is right on your doorstep. We love to wander into the town purchasing plenty of local produce: foie gras; confit de canard; goat cheese etc. then stroll back home within a few minutes and enjoy our feast on the patio watching the locals playing Petanque in the tree lined square at the front of the house, an ultimate French experience.
